Aye, Predator was the first VHS (mum and dad didn't let us have a video player until I was about 12) I ever owned (bought at a carboot sale) so I must have watched it a hundred times. Nevertheless, my favourite film at that time was AWOL. I remember discussing it in depth with my friends.

I have to admit, I'm looking forward to a new header. These webcams are all well and good but you can't see much on this one except for an ineffective triffid, a man with dysentry taking a very long walk and some leathery lady in the distance.

The camera must be turned "inland" of an evening. That's the first time i've saw a building on it.

#9934 I think that's why I'm enjoying watching them. They remind you of Commando and films like that which, when I was about 12, I thought were the height of cinematic achievement. I remember watching one, I think it was Delta Force, where a handful of prisoners had been caught and hundreds of troops were sacrificed in order to save their lives. I remember even at about 10 I was confused as to why saving 5 lives was worth hundreds of others but I guess I was missing the point.

#9933 - aye, I went to teh cinema to see it with a reluctant Mrs MG1 (to be) who almost walked out in teh opening scenes when loads of civilians were getting teh bad news. It is what it is mate, I enjoyed it as it was a partial return to teh glory high body count action days of teh late 80s, early 90s and forgave a lot.

FOL! On teh basis of teh discussion last week I dug out my Rambo DVD box set and watched First Blood and III. At teh end of III, teh film is dedicated to teh gallant people of Afghanistan. My how times change.
