Aye, and it's good to know you'll have options if the bottom falls out of the door-to-door not-worth-the-paper-its-written-on insurance market ;o)

Sorry mate, but ran out of suggestions! I at least tried to give you some comments - if you wanted to pop up here and we could meet I might be able to do more.

#9053 - thanks Pinkey, I saw that in teh Metro too. Good for them, bringing jobs back home for some of teh thicker elements of society to do.

#9048 - I would trade it in mate and get a non-windows based phone. It sounds like it doesnt work properly (like windows).

Ok mate, ta.

Im going in through IE. When I hit a thread I just get a blank screen with teh URL about:blank in that window, its like its a pop up but rather than there being 2 windows open, there is just 1, if you get my drift.

Do you own any "pure" Harris tweed clothing?

#9038 - sorry mate, don't have any suggestions and I am not sure exactly what you are seeing. I know recently that when I go in on my phone, some pop-up comes up obscuring teh page I am trying to view, but I can close this down fairly easily (go to "Windows" in teh menu and it gives you a cover-flow type view of the windows you have open).

The real bonus for me is that the lack of amenities mean a lack of children and teenagers.

LOL! A curmudgeon of this calibre is a very welcome addition to teh thread.

MG1 - my pitch is extremely cheap - £1150 for a ten month season which includes electricity. The statics are good value, as well. About £1700 ground rent but electricity and gas are on top at 'site' tariffs. There isn't a clubhouse, swimming pool etc which is why the rates are a lot cheaper than one of the 'seaside' sites which have everything. The real bonus for me is that the lack of amenities mean a lack of children and teenagers.
I originally bought the van for touring and came across the site by chance four years ago and have stayed here ever since.

Oh dear. doesnt 'sound' good.

Teh free bb on my phone is still a 'major' issue.

I can load up teh favorites, but as soon as I click on a thread it rapidly uploads an "About:Blank" page which is as you might guess 'blank'. I have found a way of getting partly around this by keeping my finger on teh screen long enough for it to give me teh option of opening teh thread in another 'tab', which it then does. However, I am unable to post from this point (about blank again), plus its a right pain in teh clunt doing this all teh time.

Any suggestions Mikey?

#9032 Of course I wasn't scared. As I said, I don't think he's a supporter of strikes, we just didn't get into politics and I'm not going to start banging on about how hard done by I am when he is sitting in the grandeur* of Minkey Towers.

5 minutes after switching on, teh screen pixillates, sound is lost, a message appears saying "this channel is not tuned." This lasts 2 or 3 minutes and then it starts working properly and is fine for as long as it's left on.

#9030 thank you Golly. I rather wish I were dining at Dr Hogly Wogly's this evening but there you go.

#9031 aye. It is an absolute godsend for public sector trade unions.

Am trying to sort this bloody telly out with Sony. So far have gone through the various things I've already done myself. Thank goodness for teh 3 year guarantee.

Pinkey,

Were you scared to bring it up?

Its seems an obvious subject to bring up for someone on teh centre right, such as yourself.

Wholeheartedly agree with you regarding banks though.
