This whole idea that the financial crisis is entirely down to reckless bankers is starting to get my goat. It suits the politicians to have an unpopular scapegoat but it seems to have convinced many that it is alright for the public sector and general public to be as reckless as they like while shooting the golden goose that paid for much of it in the first place.

Mikey, we talked about the usual things blokes talk about. Sport, drinking, our kids, property, mutual acquaintances etc.

#9020 - river, how much roughly are you talking for a permanently sited tourer (I know fees may vary by site, but useful to have an idea). Aye re-statics, I guess if you can't let them out, teh site fees can be steep.

I didn't discuss the strikes with the 'artist' so I'm not sure what his stance is but nothing he has ever said suggests he is a union militant type.

On the caravan front, I'd have thought a tourer might be a bit much for your hairdresser's car to pull so you should go for the static (if at all, I'm with Golly on this). There are plenty of parks around where you could site it and hang out drinking rose with the old dears who tend to live in these things.

Morning all.

Might be of some help MichaelG1 - I have a tourer permanently sited near The Eden Project. A mixture of tourers and statics on site - pros and cons with both. Anything you particularly want to know?

Mikey,

My old man and old dear bought a static 2 years ago.

Outlay £40k (approx)

Annual rent etc £5k (approx)

They need replacing every 15 years (site rules).

Aye, MJ.

Ive lost on 2 out of 3 of teh one dayers so far. Thankfully teh olde T20 has kept me in front, these bigger leagues with teams completely out of it from an early stage make for some very good (albeit short priced at times) value, imo.
