03/10/2003 00:16 | Below is a very IMPORTANT statement from interims and will put big bucks in IMX current a/c before Xmas.Mark my words IMHO!!!! We see North America as a large market with considerable potential for the information systems IMS MAXIMS has developed for the UK NHS. Your company is a partner in a consortium that has just commenced contract negotiations, as preferred supplier, for a significant contact. This project could break new ground in North America, and your company's products will play an important role in delivering clinically focussed and geographically distributed applications as part of a highly innovative initiative. This breakthrough will not only add to our business, but also serves to demonstrate the underlying strength of our product portfolio. Sincerely Kemorkid | kemorkid

02/10/2003 10:43 | hi david... if i did know anything compelling i would be buying a bucketload... no just reading up on their technology..i suspect they will be predominantly looking at the front end...easy usage of their PAS system... they use relational database systems rather than object orientated.. which i find a little surprising.. but what seems tom matter most is front end nowadays... ps.. good talking to someone here.. sure right .. there seems little or no interest here... the grwoth in the NHS.POLICE..is to look forward to... | safman
02/10/2003 10:30 | safman - I held this for years (literally) and we've been here before. The contracts are there but will IMX win any? Do you know anything that's particularly compelling this time? The lack of interest on these BBs is a bit ominous... | davidhel

01/10/2003 16:09 | RNS Number:4206Q IMS Maxims PLC 01 October 2003 PRESS RELEASE IMS MAXIMS PLC 1 October 2003 IMS MAXIMS PLC wins contract to upgrade Hospitals and Health Boards across Ireland to Windows-based PAS In a key initiative the Health Board Executive (HeBE) in Ireland has signed a contract with IMS MAXIMS plc to upgrade their existing PAS (Patient Administration System) to facilitate healthcare provision across Ireland in the migration towards integrated electronic patient records. Owned by the Department of Health & Children and used by 48 hospitals in the Midland and Mid Western Health Boards plus the Eastern Regional Health Authority, the new PAS functionality will include front-end Windows applications and an upgrade to state-of-the-art relational database technology. In Phase One the PAS will migrate onto Oracle from its current older file structure plus new Bed Management and Discharge Management applications, operating in Microsoft Windows, will be added. Approximately 100 management reports will be redeveloped to run in the new environment, which will make it much easier to meet any future information extraction and reporting needs. Phase Two, which is planned as an immediate follow-on, will replace the existing character-based Admission/Discharge/ Transfer (ADT) modules with Windows functionality. This will make it possible to add a range of leading clinical applications such as those developed by IMS in collaboration with numerous hospitals across Ireland and the UK. Denis Doherty, Director of HeBE, comments: "In the current situation, where many demands are competing for scarce financial resources, I am delighted that the modifications to the Irish PAS will provide an extremely cost effective way forward for Irish Hospitals and Health Boards. The development will ensure we have an excellent platform on which to base any future plans for integrated systems that deliver improved patient care." Brian Ennis, Managing Director of IMS MAXIMS plc adds: "I am very pleased to have finalised this agreement. As a result of the work now underway, the Irish PAS will migrate to the most current of technologies, including web capability. This will ensure that user hospitals can easily add applications that deliver hospital and community-wide Electronic Health Records (EHR). It will now be possible to operate in a mixed environment, keeping older, character-based terminals where necessary and adding advanced Windows-based or web-enabled applications as appropriate." Denis Doherty, Director of HeBE, concludes: "This imaginative project will extend both the life and the functionality of our PAS. At the same time it will eliminate the characteristics that have restricted our ability to add integrated applications to support the evolving needs of a modern Health Service." 24/9/2003 00:50 | When are IMX results out. | kemorkid
01/8/2003 14:34 | Kemorkid Have been scaling in to this for last 12 months, the days of 5.88p are gone, pity as more of a good thing. Four things I look for in a share: 1) Margin of safety (inc sunk costs prudently dealt with), 2) Capable honest management the sort you'd be happy if your daughter married, 3) Easy to use technology that you make once but sell often, 4) Undiscovered story, in a new market (no steel and cement for me). IMX has all in abundance. IMHO. cheers cheading | cheading
14/7/2003 11:23 | Ditto bought a few of these at about 7.5p a while back on Techinvest's recommendation. Then they dropped them! Could have a problem with size - competing with Torex and Isoft which have both recovered substantially from lows. New Labour's much vaunted huge increase in NHS spending seems to have bogged down in bigger wages and the usual red tape - tier upon tier of unnecessary management! None of the suppliers of anything have seen a major increase. | hosede
04/7/2003 13:04 | KK I'm interested, but no idea what's going on at the moment. | dvda

21/5/2003 09:21 | Found this story.... "The Black Country and Birmingham Electronic Records Development Project – known as ‘BlackberdR The aim of Blackberd was to link electronic patient records in the 12 NHS trusts across the Strategic Health Authority. It is understood that the project was informed it would not be funded from national IT sources, because its procurement was being run outside the National Programme for IT. Without such funds, the project would most likely be too expensive. The National Programme’s time frame is also moving at a similar, if not faster, timeframe than that of the Blackberd project. Purchasing had started in October 2002, with suppliers bidding to undertake Blackberd project activities. It is hoped that much of the project’s technical work will go forward with the National Programme for IT." Can't quite make out if it's good or bad news. If IMX can get a piece of the bigger national project then its great, but they may not have enough scale to be taken seriously. | dvda
18/4/2003 00:53 | Last few days have been interesting, though I've no idea what's happening (possibly nothing I guess). They were still in the bidding for that Blackberd contract last time I looked - maybe they've got themselves another contract and the news is startinging to leak out (or is that just wishfull thinking). Anyone got a view on the 2 x 200k trades? Are they both buys or is someone just rolling over a position? | dvda |
