Scoble2...i'm sure you can place a stop loss but my point is....when there is a rapid fall in a share price stop losses are often not 'triggered' so by all means try...but it is by no means guaranteed to work.

Personally, i don't have one. That's my choice.

Wouldn't it be a bit appropriate though if we were all left hanging there whistling "always look on the bright side of life"

Thanks for the advice.....but...i doubt that a stop loss would be triggered such would be the rapidity of the fall if the bid was not to go through. I'm in this for a bit of risk and will not be bailing.

cl2201 put a stop loss for how much you can afford to lose. I have mine @ 10.74p just in case the news is not what is expected.

All the Drama and Press interest in this deadline will demand a quick report as soon as possible after 1.00pm. I guess they already have a running total and just need to add in the last minute votes.

Phat and clueless, a sorry combination, confirming my thoughts about Jabbas in general :)

How can anyone can think that this deal will fail, with the share price up at £11? They won't push it higher because that would cause a flood of selling (all account trades would be closed in an instant at, say, £12.20), for why pay for the shares and then wait weeks to get recompensed when you can take a quick account profit now.

It will only move higher AFTER the deadline and when we know 90% has been passed, when a few unfortunate Jabbas (our Phatty included presumably) will be burned to a crisp in their panic to close.

But of course, we'll then hear from old Phatty, that he got the nod from a mate in the business and switched his short for a long at the last minute and made a killing. At least, that's what he'll try to have us believe anyway.

SP moving up again?
