purchased some of these yesterday as part of a play on Biden giving the green light on green energy. Also purchased some INRG clean energy etf. Only allowing 5% of portfolio as some green valuations look aa bit crazy. I have no way of picking winners in this sector so happy to go with a portfolio approach. I do also have some IP which produced Ceres. Start the printing presses for green energy Joe. Battyliveson

All good, looks like the portfolio has everything except Tesla! 2020 looking like the ESG take off year (about a decade in the making), Tesla being the hyped flag carrier of big things to come. This is a long distance race - multi decades - so won't just be about any one investment.

I bought a few more with Hargreaves Lansdown this very morning - no problem there. It's a publicly quoted share, an investment trust on the LSE, so I can see no reason why it should be restricted. Sounds like a rubbish excuse to me. Edit: opening an HL account is easy!

Halifax sharedealing will no longer allow me to deal in Impax Enviro shares....says they are advised to no longer let private investors do so! Anyone else come across this? Came up when they didn't reinvest recent dividends.

I've not been here that long, but pleased to be invested in this field and this IT.

Yes Luckymouse. I bought in at £2.05 having watched these steadily increase over the past year, and they still keep going. I also like the fact there is a share buy back scheme in operation thereby reducing the shares in circulation. Tempted to buy more on any weakness

Any thoughts on the future? I hold, have done so a while. Still a great market segment with real demand that is not going away.

glenn, I wonder if they will consider winding the trust up/unitising following the Asian equivalent. It's been a good performer in the last 18 months, but cant see them trading on a premium again!

Looks like we could be finishing the year on a new high for the year. From the charts we seem to have started the year at about 92p and we are going to end at about 118p. About a 30% rise for the year.

Thanks, rainydays, for the clear explanation I knew deep down that it would be my failure to do due diligence :-( Still, as I have IEM in my SS-ISA, because it's a 10 year time scale hold for me, the fact that I've got a few more without losing out on the deal doesn't trouble me too much. Just not the bargain I was erroneously expecting.
