yogi: WOW! Interesting to see reaction today....Q2 AUM updateImpax, the AIM listed specialist investor focused on a more sustainable economy, today provides an update on the development of its assets under discretionary and advisory management ("AUM") for the second quarter of its financial year.On 31 March 2021, the Company's AUM reached GBP30.0 billion, representing an increase of 19.0% for the quarter and 48.6% for the financial year to date.Ian Simm, Chief Executive, commented:"I am pleased to report that Impax has again delivered another quarter of exceptional growth, with our AUM reaching GBP30 billion for the first time. Net flows for the three months to the end of March were a record GBP4.0 billion as we converted rising client demand into new business. Over the first half of our financial year we have increased our AUM by almost 50 per cent."This quarter we also completed the integration of our New Hampshire-based team, who joined us in 2018 following the acquisition of Pax World Management LLC. Combining the two businesses has already delivered significant growth for the Group. We are positioning ourselves for further expansion by adding to our research resources, extending our distribution and client service capabilities, and further strengthening our support teams."We have been encouraged that, even during a pandemic, the public, policymakers and businesses have continued to pay attention to the sustainability themes that underpin our investment thesis. Looking ahead, the landmark COP26 climate talks in November and the policies of the Biden Presidency in the United States are likely to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable economy."Addressing economic and social challenges will continue to create enormous opportunities for the well-positioned companies that Impax is seeking to back. In particular, we expect to see rapidly rising support among governments for the build out of assets that will underpin a low carbon economy."The table below sets out further details of the movements in the Company's AUM for the quarter ended 31 March 2021. AUM movement Listed equities Fixed Private Total 3 months to income markets firm 31 March 2021 GBPm GBPm GBPm GBPm --------------------- ---------------- -------- --------- ------- Total AUM at 31 December 2020 23,873 973 366 25,212 Net flows 3,898 76 - 3,974 Market movement, FX and performance 865 (34) (17) 813 --------------------- ---------------- -------- --------- ------- Total AUM at 31 March 2021 28,636 1,015 348 29,999

yogi: Good spot edmonda, lots of good emphasis on cash inflows in note which hopefully is a sign of things to come. February will be key as December and January often stand outs at start and end of year for investors but should settle in to more routine inflows in Feb.Separately, also good to see bed and ISA from someone connected to Ian Simm today and a few non execs buys recently - more good signals..

dan hol: Yes Yogi, agree on being comfortable with the current price. I think Investors Chronicle said recently IPX needs to put on 1bn AUM a month to keep its £8 price tag. But if it can keep up the level its been doing more recently, then maybe we will be looking at closer to £10 and beyond by year end...

melody9999: Thanks Yogi - but I would counsel that normally my buys should be taken as short term sell signals! However very comfortable with IPX - great management, outperformance and indication this will continue - see cut from the finals earlier this month: "Impax's investment thesis is based on our belief that companies that are benefiting from the transition to a more sustainable economy should, on average, out-perform their peers in other markets. Over the past 12 months we have seen further evidence supporting this view. There are strong reasons to believe that governments, investors and consumers are seeking to steer capital towards markets that offer inherent resilience to environmental and social problems."

sirrux: Yes, they had a drop same period last year so compares well. That quarter is the danger quarter when institutions typically pull money. Well done to them to add about $1bn, not a slouchy number. The key is the Jan 1 inflows and the rest of the first calendar quarter. It's price sensitive data and in theory the business should know at least Jan 1 as they will be investing it, but looks like they won't disclose until 8 April. Perhaps there's a case for them to report AUMs monthly as this information will be known by regulators and some service providers, why not investors?
