I get a feeling that there are a fair few trading these shares. All fine if you want to. Personally I tried all that buying, making a few percent, selling, stuff. Not good for the bank account (or good for sleeping). I have found that the best approach for me is to research, invest, sit back. The returns on longer term trades far outweigh a bit here and a bit there. IMHO.

Still think it was overvalued at $500. Who's going to be left holding the bitcoin baby? Some folk will go bust when it happens. At least all the drug dealers are now rich beyond their wildest dreams and now all 'clean money' (can see them in court now, 'so how did you come to have $50m in 50 Euro notes under the bed' ' bitcoin me lord'.

IMM on the other hand.... It's looking well set for the next update. Still think we might see a deal prior, but it will be a nail biting when it comes to reveal the results.

I've been reading up on Trehalose and am somewhat reassured by research (not IMM or CNRS) which does seem to suggest it does interfere with Autophagy.

All good in any case.

Alec Cairncross who was a respected economist used to say that it was better to make pessimistic forecasts because if one was wrong everybody would easily and quickly forget whereas if one was right one`s reputation would be enhanced.

NY...some folks selling to top slice. Those of us that got in at 30s don't see an issue with selling for the free ride. The more shares you have the more you need to sell. Why go into the results with any risk at all. We are still left with enough shares. It really isn't nutty at all.

I think we have some paid de-rampers on this board, coming here with their low ball price forecasts of £10-20 scandalous, forecasting their measly 700%-1500% return in a few months nobody would buy in if they were expecting returns that low going to be more like £500+ on good results :)

wig...agreed on the options. What will they do in the next 6 months that is not already in motion. In my opinion the more options they receive the more likely to accept a lower priced bid while still meeting personal goals.

I once did a trial on sleeping tablets where we were looking at the effect of colour on the result. That trial was not obvious to the clinicians because the result was amazing.the drug in one colour was the clear winner. However the placebo in the same colour was superior to the drug in all other colours.
Needless to say we used that colour for our sedative products after that result. That was in 1971.
In other trials the results for effective products do show an obvious trend early on.

If the result matches the positive ph2b I suspect shares will be £10+ within a day or two. I think £40 takeover is realistic during 2018 on that basis. Not sure I understand the concern about funding. With a positive result under their belt, a market cap of circa £1.5bn, and next to zero running costs, any dilution will be sub 1% to cover ongoing costs ie meaningless. I don't buy the argument that it will require a great effort on IMM's part to sell the asset at a very attractive price and quickly, which is in part why I find the option handouts so disgusting.

hamham i have not calculated a precise probability of a takeover but the reasons I think it likely are:

- You tend to get takeovers on Phase III results and deals on pre Phase III results (like hottingup already said) and IMM will be in th ePhase III results position with Lupuzor come January.

- Most big pharmas will be interested in Lupuzor and they tend to want whole platforms and IP rather than bits and pieces particuilarly if they also have the assurity of good Phase III results and ability to develop it further.

- Lupuzor P140 could generate multi billion $ sales of the scale big pharmas need.

- Its the way the sector works with several precedents including GSK's takeover of HGSi to get their lupus drug Benlysta.

- The rest of the pipeline could be high value.

- lots of US$ around to buy UK companies on weaker Sterling although i think European pharmas will also be interested and perhaps Chinese consortiums .

- Takeover would give shareholders - including management - the largest return in the quickest time.

Nearly every drug climbs during phase III trial near results. Then it either has a big boost when successful or it loses up to 90% of value if it comes up short. Clinicians have nothing to do with it or they would be wrong more often than not.

Price has been rising since june. When a trial is being carried out if one has a winner on your hands surely the results will be obvious.the clinicians will discuss their suspicions with colleagues and so leakage of suspected results will occur.only the people setting up the trial will know precisely which patient received which drug or placebo. Normally that will only be examined at the end of the trial.
The persistent price rise must indicate good news is leaking out . If they had a dud on their hands there would be no great difference between the patients in the trial. If they have large numbers of positive results ........

ProfBB. What are your estimated percentage odds of being bought out straight after phase 3 results?

All the indications are that Lupuzor will be approved and market launched in 2018, by whoever owns it at the time.
