Downgrade from UBS this morning causing a fall. I hold Rotork as well which UBS upgraded ending up in a neutral position. Brokers do have a tendency to screw things up.

Wish IMI dropped that ..customer intimacy..line.

I get the message they are trying to convey, but perhaps a turn of phrase required.

The recent bolt on's appear to be extremely well thought out. They are building divisions that have a broader offering and greater market presence. The ability to cross sell existing products alongside the new ones.
This should help the current times and certainly provide greater opportunities to increase revenue in the future.

A very solid hold.

Both the acquisition and upgrade to the EPS show just how well things are going at IMI.Couple that with their efficiency savings over the next couple of years and the outlook is very positive.See what the market expectations are shortly.

I have been invested over the years with IMI, out at times but mainly in and hold. One thing that is always the same, the board is very quiet.

Since your post around 6 weeks ago they have risen nicely. I hope that you were invested to the level you wanted.All good reasons for the debt position and reduction in cash as far as I can see. Looks like they are taking full advantage of the increase in business and restructuring.I am happy to hold for the medium to long term.

Goodness, some other posts here following the update.

I tried to generate a bit of interest a few weeks back as thought
these were looking rather cheap.

Increase in net debt the only fly in the ointment,
need to have a look at that in more detail - there
are some reasons given in the results statement.

Does anyone have a medium term view on IMI?, putting aside weakening macro
outlook and probable recession?. i'm very optimistic on this and hope that view
is valid. They will do very well to make 100 pence on EPS which is current
guidance, might possibly need a guidance cut over the next few months.
Medium/longer term looks better.

Good solid update with group margins at 20 percent and eps 100p.Given the costs of exiting Russia, this continues to be a great share to own following the update.
