Mallorca 9. It's becoming boring now. We all know your opinion on img's position, why do you keep repeating it? There are 15-24 months to source new business to replace Apple, re structure, perhaps even find a buyer for the business; there is a long way to go before img reaches near bankrupt status as you keep predicting, and obviously crave. Spare a thought, if not for img's shareholders but for the 1700 people employed by img.

That works both ways Richard.
My view is that this will fall substantially and I hope to make a profit via a short spreadbet.
You and others here think it will rise - although I suspect that many are making the terrible but common mistake of averaging down.

Try to forget what the share price used to be.
What is the Companies valuation now with little or no profit, £40m of net debt, and the loss of it's biggest customer.
Of all the shares on the market, is this the one you would choose, if you we're not emotionally involved ?

Take a look at HNT breaking out pays dividends restructuring complete fast growing now potential 40%+ rise if it hits 70 imho dyor

That's one view Open,
I would suggest that the Co will now have to restructure - it is losing 60% of it's revenue but with the same overhead structure.
The end game will be the breakup and sale of the business.

Getting a touch repetitive now Mallorca9. Do you have any idea how many patents IMG own, and their value? History has shown support at a set price. Below that and it'll be too much of a temptation for someone and an offer will follow.

APPLE PR/Regulatory problem in Australia. Last para could be a smoke signal for them although it seems things have improved but no one can be on top forever.

Morning all,

I'm guessing that many will have set up sell orders before leaving for work this morning rather than find that another 20% has ben wiped off by the time they return home this evening.
Should see this fall below 90p today.

It amazes me how some of those reporting on the news released in a RNS, change the wording. Apple have asserted they expect to stop using IMG IP in 15-24mths time - has been reported as:

they will stop in 12 months!!
they will be reducing from now on!!!!

Sheep Herder - I think I might have cracked it, test this scenario against all recent IMG pronouncements ... IMG pr release 8 March 2017 "Imagination have already licensed the first Furian IP cores to multiple partners with initial RTL delivered" Furian silicon expected late 2018 earliest with products likely 2019. Lets assume Apple were included in those multiple partners. To be continued ... refer later post

Orkney, Not sure if they are still interested? Tsinghua Unigroup subsequently sold their entire holding so are no longer on the IMG share register according to management (see Q&A of Dec'16 Half Year results audio).

I wonder what Tsinghua unigroup make of recent events. Remember, they took a 3% stake last May, then bizarrely sold a fraction to be under the 3% disclosure number. They must be watching events with interest!?
