Temmujn....did you really lose all your money with MF Global? I was a client and got all mine back. Would be surprised if you didn't too? I pick up on your post because, contrary to your opinion, I see IG as having one of the strongest balance sheets among it's competitors....and as some of the smaller/weaker players struggle (perhaps fold) with the new rules, IG could well benefit longer term as smaller competitors fall away. Would you rather be a client of one of the smaller CFD/Forex providers at this time or a large one with a strong balance sheet?

82% of IG clients lose money. Thats the regulators findings. More pain to come
Regulatory situation is so uncertain now that its not possible to make an investment decision based on any fundamentals - as such its purely a gamble at this point.
Very high chance of forcast downgrades and a profit warning in due course.Uninvestible atm imho

I think what we need is a ban on professional investors and leverage, afterall, that's how these guys have messed up the global markets..IG should move up sharply from here

That would be ironic if IG went out of existence because it was shorted to death. Could well be a part of it's own downfall!

On IG, he said: "Most of IG's customers are experienced and most do not utilise the maximum leverage currently available to them. It should however increase a customer's trading life span which will support longer term revenue growth."

if the rules are implemented in full, and revenues fall 20-30%, then I agree with your target
