31/10/2023 22:24 | Could be, but given their "soft Q1" and lower rating since then it could be argued it was a given for H1 and already priced in?....who knows!.I don't hold but on my list. | disc0dave46
31/10/2023 21:55 | I think it gradually sunk in during the trading session that this was a veiled profit warning. | riverman77
31/10/2023 20:45 | Surprised this didn't manage to hold the early gains, £50m saving per annum is significant. | disc0dave46
31/10/2023 09:58 | A logical conclusion. While I would obviously like to see them explore the external market thoroughly, at the time of print, I am happy with the current interim arrangement and feel there is no rush to appoint formally now. We do not want a hasty January transfer window signing, to use a football analogy. | lovewinshatelosses
31/10/2023 08:21 | Charlie Rozes making his play to become the new CEO? | tourist2020
31/10/2023 08:19 | Did a cautious top-up yesterday at 639p, in hindsight should've bought even more, but those recent director sells put me off a bit. | mister md
31/10/2023 08:15 | Yes, very nice announcement. There arent many businesses which couldnt take 10% out of the cost base, and a company which is flatlining should focus on doing so. Will give them better operating leverage when revenues recover, and should mean they can throw off even more cash. Only negative in the announcement is the comment about Q2 following on from Q1, and if you annualise Q1 revenue, they'd be around 5% behind forecast revenues. That said, at a 6.4x PE, there isn't any hope built into the share price at all so arguably its already priced in. | adamb1978
31/10/2023 07:49 | Yep. I am delighted with this update. Better late than never. I will buy more if the market drops the price on this news, but IMO I should not have the chance, because this should drive us to a higher price range from the get go. GLA. | lovewinshatelosses
31/10/2023 07:23 | Interesting announcement today. “ IG Group takes steps to streamline the business - Update on cost efficiency actions to support future growth …” About freaking time…..@LWHL and I have been tearing our hair out for months re the poor cost control. | hunter154
27/10/2023 11:42 | I completely agree. Been there before, but unlike you, in a couple of names, got wiped out, when healthy profits were there for the taking not long before. Albeit in AIM stocks, not one of this stature. Although the same point still stands of course. Not in love with any stocks now, but I do have high demands for those that I have in the investment side of my p/f, rather than the 'trade' part. Some names I hold in both accounts from time to time. Right now, this is just in the investment pot, because I do not see a particular trading set up at the moment. Ideally, it will return to my boring LTH and largely forget about holdings, as it once was. But not there yet. GLA. | lovewinshatelosses
27/10/2023 11:03 | "I am a big fan of this outfit" As am I and I don't want too many changes, I trade via igg and enjoy 3 quid a deal plus they pay dividends promptly, recent the cash has been in my account before open of market. also customer service has very much improved in recent years. | gbh2
27/10/2023 10:50 | Best bit of advice I've found on here was nigh on 20 years ago: "Never fall in love with a share" At the time I was having an "affair" with one called Pace Micro, I watched it rise from 50p to 17 quid in less than 18 months, but being hooked on it I waited for it to do even better, ignoring the falls back to ca a tenner as a bounce. Luckily I decided to sell ca 9 quid, having bought at 50p. Pace continued to drop back and that was the end for me. I've never looked back or regretted any buy or sell since, it's all part of a game that's controlled by folk with millions whilst most on here try to make the best out of thousands. Good luck to all, be they Holders, sellers or buyers. | gbh2
27/10/2023 09:48 | At the risk of repeating earlier comments...the significant overpayment for TT and the lack of discipline concerning wider cost controls across the business. Throw in, what IMO are, overly generous rewards for senior management too. All of which have contributed to the share price languishing at multi-year lows. Notwithstanding the macro climate which is impacting most other stocks as well. But the macros cannot reasonably be used as the sole excuse for the share price Repeating myself further...I am a big fan of this outfit. I love the platform and am simply frustrated at the slight loss of direction that it has taken since June's tenure. But I hope to see the ship turn around sooner or later, and that is why I am still a holder here and have increased my position on several occasions this year for example. IMO it is not a business that requires any significant changes, let alone an overhaul. It just needs better custodianship IMO. | lovewinshatelosses
26/10/2023 23:36 | What failures and underachievement are you referring to? | maddox
26/10/2023 19:02 | Agree with you, even though I am somewhat irritated by what I see as avoidable failures/underachiev Fair enough too, gbh2. We all share the same goal. I have dry powder to execute other avenues that I hope will prove fruitful, while I wait here for (hopefully) a solid recovery before too long. I only eat losses when I do not feel a recovery is going to happen, especially when there is a well-covered dividend to pay me to wait. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not. 26/10/2023 09:13 | Hi LWHL, I am still holding. To sell at this price is insanity. Generating 15% fcf yield……i | hunter154
26/10/2023 07:12 | Why sell when the share price is low | coxsmn
25/10/2023 15:45 | I sold 25% this morning, the loss will be recovered eventually either here or with my purchase of an alternative product. | gbh2
25/10/2023 12:01 | I would certainly have no problem with that myself. Like you say, just for starters! Did you sell up, Hunter, or are you still in here? | lovewinshatelosses
25/10/2023 10:56 | Agreed; fire the CFO , COO for a start. | hunter154
25/10/2023 09:32 | Yep. This is now coming into fallen angel territory, IMO. Just need a good CEO to make, what IMO, are only really quite minor alterations, to get this back to where it belongs. And clear out some of the overpaid headcount too. | lovewinshatelosses
25/10/2023 08:17 | 12% drop since ex dividend! | gbh2
23/10/2023 21:25 | Eh? No they are not. Same for the further declared sell today by Svilen Ivanov. | lovewinshatelosses
23/10/2023 17:07 | They are buys not sells | coxsmn |
