Too many large buys for day traders.
Anybody have a ceiling for when the share flattens out esp with low dividend. I bought in a while back at 40p and have had to topslice too often. (not complaining)

Not sure the reason for buying is that they believe the stock is good value.
Maybe it's because the shares are in uptrend and they believe the shares will continue to go up :-))

(1) People sell for all sorts of reasons, but a 50,000 buy at 151p is for one reason only - because they believe the stock is good value
(2) Large trades like this would have been worked by the MMs in the background mopping up any smaller selling
(3) The price movement on the back of this buying tells us that the MMs don't have much available stock to meet demand

That's three things of value these trades are telling me just off the top of my head :o))

I would say a 50.000 buy is what I would call a conviction buy,,,,,,,the seller has most likely reached his target price and moved on,,,,,,,,,that's what makes a market and good luck to him I say ,,,,,only IMO of course :-0))

Couldn’t you equally say if someone bought 50,000 then someone also sold 50,000? Not sure trades like that tell us anything of value

Bought my last batch at 139p. largest holding and don't see any reason to sell for minor retracements as long as the upward trend in the chart remains intact.

Good to see another new ATH for IDEA !

Wasn't IDEA a sell recommended by clueless "Shares" when the share price was about 90p ? I recall commenting on the stupidity of that on this forum !! The same Shares that dismissed ARC as being not worthy of a listing on the stock market ? Now just about 120% up this calendar year alone.

As always, have the courage of your convictions and invest accordingly and not be side tracked by so called professionals/brokers/analysts/research notes !!

Melody9999, the aviation sector is one of Q-Pulse's biggest customers (more than 100 clients from memory).

Thanks for the Purolite contract win news. it's good to see IDEA winning business in Biotechnology, and it seems there's more work to come:

"The project with Ideagen comes as Purolite looks to expand its operations in biotechnology – with future plans to utilise the Q-Pulse system within its sites in Romania, the United States, and China."

suspect probably because lower volumes over the summer period .... but neverthe less 40K traded to date today and all buys.

It's not the 4p per se change, but the link with the low volumes which is unusual. IDEA is a pretty liquid stock with decent volumes traded daily.
Every stock has its own trading rhythm (volumes,price moves, AT/O trades etc) and this appeared to be an anomaly.Could be something or nothing - just an observation.

4p is not a major % change for IDEA.
