16/1/2018 08:53 | Transavia Airlines extends Q-Pulse safety system for risk and flight data monitoring Transavia Airlines, the Dutch low cost airline, is to expand its software system from Ideagen in a move that will enhance risk management and flight safety reporting. The airline, which has been in operation for over 50 years, will upgrade its Q-Pulse system, adding Ideagen’s Q-Pulse Risk while integrating with Aerobyte’s Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) system. The software upgrade will allow Transavia crew to easily complete and submit safety reports, such as ECCAIRS, required for Transavia’s European legislation requirements including those of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). The addition of risk and FDM will boost Transavia’s risk visibility, allowing them to quickly spot potential weakness through the BowTie methodology for risk management. FDM integration will enable safety staff to assess individual flights, providing increased visibility of operational and safety data. | turnerpa51

10/1/2018 10:52 | Good coverage of the NHS opportunity on the respected Techmarketview: "Wednesday 10 January 2018 Ideagen expands use of Q-Pulse in NHS Ideagen logoKing’s Interventional Facilities Management (IFM) is working with AIM-listed Ideagen to deploy its Q-Pulse quality, compliance safety and operational risk management platform. King’s IFM is a Limited Liability Partnership controlled by the King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. It provides fully managed services across all sites within the Trust, including King’s College Hospital, Princess Royal University Hospital and Orpington Hospital. King’s IFM aims to use Q-Pulse to centralise and standardise document control giving staff access to policies and Standard Operating Procedures from a single location. King’s College Hospital is already using Q-Pulse in areas such as Haematology and Cancer Services to help ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality management standards. In the future, it also plans to use Q-Pulse to support the reduction of risk and adverse incidents. Things appear to be progressing well for the Ideagen; it’s H1 trading update in November revealed that revenue and adjusted EBITDA were expected to be significantly ahead of H1 FY16, and underlying organic revenue was up c.12%. UK healthcare remains a significant part of its business, where, across all products and services, it currently supplies 75% of NHS Trusts. Budgets remain under tremendous pressure in the NHS as the population ages and demands on the service increase, but the need for greater efficiency in the sector will create further opportunities for Ideagen." | rivaldo

07/1/2018 21:38 | I find it quite funny, if a little frustrating that although the companies banging on about big data, the cloud, blockchain, AI etc. are the ones that hit the investment headlines, there are businesses like IDEA that are 'quietly' using the same sort of technology to build businesses. They just don't put cliched labels on it. Just like real life. You meet some puffy chested self-presenter and it turns out they've not actually done much at all, while the hobo-looking bloke in the pub that seems to know a lot about genetics discovered the DNA helix. | yump
07/1/2018 13:30 | I agree transformation of business and private life is only in it’s infancy. Clearly the “digital” Getting back to pulse I only worked for 2 companies, Lloyds Bank for 32 years and on “retirement | turnerpa51

07/1/2018 11:29 | Interesting article about IDEA and "digital transformation" - the "Fourth Industrial Revolution" "05 January 2018 Digitalisation & Industry 4.0 in Manufacturing By Hannah Waugh Manufacturers are experiencing a period of drastic change as digital transformation rises throughout the sector as part of what is called Industry 4.0 or the Forth Industrial Revolution. This digitalisation trend adds pressures to traditional businesses, but also offers exceptional opportunities that will optimise production and increase efficiency. These changes revolutionise activities, processes, competencies and models through a mix of digital technologies with an accelerating impact across not only businesses, but across society and cultures. Sparked by a shift in new demands from customers, Industry 4.0 is the name for the current trend of automation and new technologies in the manufacturing sector. The revolution brings changes in all areas of life and existing business models. For example, is it just me who has Amazon’s Echo Dot - ‘Alexa’ - carry out mundane tasks such as turning on music or making phone calls out of sheer laziness and convenience? This is an example of the shift and a starting point for automisation and its effect on society and the way we all operate. etc" | rivaldo

04/1/2018 09:08 | Looks like another contract, just before the new year. Q-Pulse Enterprise gives Alexander Dennis Ltd supplier performance KPIs and helps instill joined up business management system (BMS) strategy Alexander Dennis Limited (ADL) is the UK’s leading bus and coach manufacturer, employing around 2,000 people at facilities in the UK, continental Asia and North America. The company provides vehicles to the likes of Stagecoach, First Group and Abellio and are the fastest growing bus and coach builder in Western Europe. Q-Pulse was initially identified by ADL to manage their Business Management System including Document Control, Calibration, Internal Audits and Corrective Action Management. The bus company implemented Q-Pulse Enterprise, replacing their previous version of the solution and providing them with several databases for their business and compliance requirements. Working with Ideagen’s Customer Service team and their new Enterprise product, ADL quickly started to see real benefit – such as a central repository for all Supplier issues on a Group wide basis in a dedicated Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) Database. This meant that – for the first time – a common approach was applied to the ADL supply base in both the notification and resolution of supplier related quality issues. Benefits Flexibility to enhance the existing Business Management System while providing the frame work to deploy a Group approach across the business All suppliers, including performance data, managed and analysed in one system Through Q-Pulse Web Reporting Portal, 400 suppliers have access to comments & can react to issues, quickening a solution Group-wide KPIs available for first time allowing data to be reviewed on a site basis but also providing a rolled-up summary to help drive continual improvement across the Supply basis Download Case Study Q-Pulse Enterprise's reporting functionality has enabled us to evaluate Suppliers' performance by identifying repeat failures, driving root cause analysis and fault categorisation | igoe104
