05/11/2008 15:27 | From the website... 04/11/2008 11:44:18 : ID Data Group plc protects ID Data Ltd through use of an Administration order "ID Data Group plc protects ID Data Ltd through use of an Administration order" ID Data Ltd, following the appointment of Malcolm Shierson and John Whitfield of Grant Thornton as Joint Administrators, has now secured itself from a non trading creditor whilst it progresses its disposal plans. The ID Data Ltd business is reporting strong trading, is continuing to service its customers and is attracting a solid new order-in flow. Peter Cox ID Data Group CEO said. "We have been encouraged by the positive response from our existing clients and suppliers to our requirement to protect ID Data Ltd from a non trading creditor via the use of an administration order. The protection afforded by the Administration process is allowing ID Data Ltd to attend to its daily business whilst the process of disposal of the business of ID Data Ltd progresses, where we believe there is real value. I would also like to confirm following a large number of shareholder enquiries, that, ID Data Group Plc, its other Group Companies and investments are not in administration. ID Data Group plc will update the market via the RNS of any changes and further confirms we are actively engaged with a number of potential buyers for ID Data Ltd and other companies in the ID Data Group". | rabain
31/10/2008 09:22 | I don't see or hear any action from the major shareholders in IDD - I thought they might take a view on whether or not the company was worth saving now that it has started to make a profit? | snake516

30/10/2008 09:48 | Hi Rab I'm with you, someone is going to buy the crown jewels at a knock down price and we end up losing, it seems criminal to me and it's always the small investors who lose out. 4S | 4shorty
30/10/2008 00:09 | I don't think its confusing at all, I'm afraid boys and girls the game's over. Once ID Data Ltd is flogged there's really nothing left and the sale proceeds will be swallowed up by the debts. I can't be bothered to go back and look up how much Peter Cox has lent the company, but its a lot and he'll likely be entitled to interest. Was fun while it lasted. | rabain
29/10/2008 23:28 | Cant see what anyone is confused about? Is more or less exactly as expected. They made it quite clear that the order book was strong and it was, in their words, 'business as usual'. When this suspension is over, there will be even more confused people, half saying ' sod this, I am off' the other half saying ' what a long awaited opportunity' pi volume will be big, but status quo will remain. Ya pays ya money, ya takes ya choice. It was a prudent, and in my opinion, shrewd move , in the present climate, to protect themselves in a controlled way, from their creditors. Is an interesting, ongoing, story. This one. | tanners3
29/10/2008 17:31 | still nothing has been said about the shareholders........ | addersmax
29/10/2008 16:53 | Sounds VERY confusing. I THINK | rhiannon
29/10/2008 16:42 | sounds quite positive...i think Appointment of administrators at subsidiary (ID Data) RNS Number : 9801G ID Data Group PLC 29 October 2008 29 October 2008 ID Data Group plc ("ID Data") Appointment of Administrators at subsidiary ID Data Group plc (AIM: IDD), the smart card and card solutions group, today announces that, following its announcement on 16 October 2008 of the intention to appoint Administrators at its subsidiary company ID Data Limited, Malcolm Shierson and John Whitfield of Grant Thornton have today been appointed Administrators of ID Data Limited. In light of the level of interest in ID Data Limited expressed by potential purchasers, it is expected that a satisfactory sale of the company or its assets will be achieved in the near future. In the meantime ID Data Limited intends to continue to trade normally. It has received considerable support from its customers with substantial new orders and enquiries being received. Further developments will be announced in due course. Trading in ID Data's shares on AIM remains suspended. | philwill
