Jeffmack,

No I live in Poole, other end of the county.

Lyme regis is beautiful though, lovely countryside.
What's the price guide on the units out of interest?

Andy.

Tend to agree re arm (but I did not wish to prejudge any comments) On fundermentals PE ratio of 45 is way too high in todays bearish market. In the days before the tech boom you used to say buy at 12 or below sell at 18 or above. If profit warnings, plus slow down of 3G take up etc, are all true that predisposes a fair value price of 40p to 65p ish. However although I am not the best chartist in the world there may be a short term bounce up followed by a steady decline until Sept/Oct IMHO of course. Unlike broadband I have never been a fan of 3g

Pauly, on Q1 results, ARM is still on a PE of 30+....With worries over their "backlog revenues" on top, I think they're a short...Hoping for a little strength to open a short.

Have been watching arm closely for a couple of months.Has repeatedly failed to hold short term trading range support levels and IMHO i suspect a profit warning on the way

mehul42 - CMC will often requote if there is not enough stock on level 2 to cover the size you're trying to deal

by the way, I'd like to thank whoever sold 351 KGN this morning to start the ball rolling ( or rather crashing )

Paul cant help feeling that there is still alot of sentiment around ARM which feels that it is still overvalued in todays market.

I get the feeling Morgan S are downgrading on the back of a weak
IT market - a bit of educated guesswork - whereas SG Cowen were
upgrading on real evidence of a bounce in hardware spending and
a weak dollar.

I prefer real evidence to guesswork - educated or otherwise.

MS are quite possibly right about services signings though.

dailos, funnily enough the deal4free stuff was a reasonable loss. i found dealing on line made me over trade.

Internet back up at home now so had a quick read through the thread, had a quiet day trading AZN and GSK from a cafe for a few hours, did ok, nothing great.

Hotei, what e mail?

TBM, sorry cant be of help, send all info to an accountant and let him sort it out, hope your paying a lot of CGT, means you had a good year.

Finally, not wishing to preach and all that, but to any lurkers out there..... one of the best trades of the day was Bullshares(for a change!), nothing stood out as a buy or a sell so he did not trade, has to be done at times and a wise move.

theblackmamba - Last year, I couldn't find any information about reporting CFDs on the Inland Revenue's site, so I just quoted end of year balance - start of year balance - net funds invested/withdrawn, as a single line on my return. They didn't query it!
