In the future out of control energy prices (think Oil 100$+ and Gas 10-20$)will cause a serious backlash against the delusional anti-fossil fuel brigade. Politicians who don;t get with the script are going to get voted out quick. Look at Harry and Meghan. Preach to us plebs about fossil fuels but travel everywhere in private jets and fleet of land rovers. Gonna be a massive backlash sooner or later.

Serenity and Liberator F/O deal is nearly done according to Majid - Just need to dot the 'i's and cross the 't's and then it's a sharp spike in the share price. Nobody knows by how much but it will be significant.

“We own that 100%, process of farming out an appraisal well. Deals are on the table that will allow fully carried on the first appraisal well.

“What we’re waiting for is the counter-parties to confirm they’ve got committed funds to pay their share of what’s been agreed, at which point we can sign those agreements and move forward.

“What we would like to do then is to drill a well, ideally if we can spud it in the first quarter of next year. It might go a bit beyond that into the second quarter now.”

NPV10 $407m=circa £300m. Current mc £147m. Undervalued?

Like the webcast summing up: "We are very pleased with the first half results we have achieved in terms of what we wanted to see... We have acquired assets which are very good and we are starting to see the fruits of this. The first half results do not reflect the Cenovus transactions and the second half results are expected to be even better that the first half across all metrics. We are really confident we are going to have a good second half of the year."

Great to see the NPV10 at $407m for the assets and they did say that they expect that to increase with the commodity prices. No wonder WHI increased their price target. Hopefully given the current Brent price we can see those financials for Serenity soon!

When they can pay 0.2p from £12.5m NOI, I would imagine that 0.25p could be easily do able from the £39m predicted from July-Dec 21. Sounds like they're going to be very active on the Canadian acreage in the next 6-9 months.

It was actually a wee bit smaller than I was expecting (with no basis, other than the yield indicated by management when the share price was much lower), but in retropect, the number of shares over which the dividend pot is divided reflect the Cenovus acquisition fund raising, but the FCF from which it's drawn does not.

As a result, hopefully there may be more than 0.25p in 6 months.

Wonder if the serenity and liberator F/O deal is waiting for COP to be over. Surely the elephant in the room.
There’s a lot of pressure on politicians to ‘do’ something, and hammering oil and gas companies like i3 plays well to the crowd. But the cost will be the global economy screeching to a halt.
