20/9/2021 13:31 | corrientes What also troubles me here is the degree of nepotism involving some with dubious past histories. | borderterrier1
20/9/2021 11:58 | You was quiet in JLP then, never saw you comment once in the 5 years I was there | plat hunter
20/9/2021 11:54 | Plathunter! Er, no. I bought JLP at 2.2p, SLP at 8.2p, and THS at 55p, actually. But hey, facts, who gives a...? By the way, you can't count. Your numbers for HUM above are laughably wrong. Are you sure you should be investing? | tigerbythetail
20/9/2021 11:42 | borderterrier1 I also have to come to the same conclusion as you about HUM. Its price SEEMINGLY doesn't make sense given its assets/cash. When something looks like an absolute steal or an anomaly, my past experience tells me that you can bet your bottom dollar, there's something rotten lurking in the state of Denmark (Mali) ! A contrary argument says that literally anything gold related is bad news at the moment, but HUM does takes the biscuit. | corrientes
20/9/2021 11:35 | Tiger, you bought PGM producers whilst Auto's where warning of cuts to production guidance. | plat hunter
20/9/2021 11:08 | Is the impending collapse of Evergrande going to be the injection of fear into the markets that gold so desperately needs? Hmm. I'll think about that one for a bit... | tigerbythetail
20/9/2021 10:11 | Double bottom at 12.48p? | imnotspartacus
20/9/2021 08:26 | Tem, I'm by nature optimistic which can be an expensive fault to be fair.Timbo, AISC is a closer representation of EBITDA earnings if anything, as tax and write downs aren't included | plat hunter
20/9/2021 08:11 | Energy prices will feed through into inflation, however. | johnhemming
20/9/2021 07:57 | Unfortunately, the trade weighted Dollar Index has rallied to within about 0.25% of its highest level since early November last year. That certainly isn't helping the POG. | dickbush
20/9/2021 00:42 | Buywell3 If what you say is correct, why didn't the POG move this significantly during the most recent spike? Just asking for a friend. | borderterrier1
20/9/2021 00:23 | A high POG solves all your issues A low POG does not In short POG is all | buywell3
19/9/2021 23:48 | Hi Temujiin, that's why I said there were some exclusions. Gross Profit does not take into account fixed overheads which are included in AISC. | timbo
19/9/2021 21:57 | Timbo, thanks but I tend to disagree re what Net Profit is as for me it means 'a company's total earnings after subtracting all expenses. Expenses subtracted include the costs of normal business operation as well as depreciation and taxes.' So I would say HUM gold sales minus AISC would be better classed as gross profit. Plat, thanks for brush stoke explanation and actually I miss remembered as I thought Y/E guidance was 100k+ this year, but it is as you posted 110k+. # Your assumptions on $oz sold and AISC are more generous to HUM than my figurers and that makes up our different FCF figurers. I hope yours are closer the mark than mine :) | temujiin
19/9/2021 17:42 | corrientes I mentioned this to several of my well heeled clients, they all were badly burned and lost big time. It was very embarrassing for me and I would like to make it clear to others that I despise stocks like this that continually promise but never deliver. I can assure you that I am a very well balanced individual and apart from my disappointment with my long time involvement with this, blissfully happy with my life and my lot. But, as many others are now saying, something is very wrong here. Perhaps my posts are a warning to others? BTW have you read the 72 page "well oiled Swiss watch" report by FSJ from 2017? Perhaps you should. Also, several years ago I had a long telecon with a prominent member of the Hum team. His replies to my queries left me in no doubt that his alegience leaned heavily towards maintaining his large salary, not the support of the shareholders. | borderterrier1
19/9/2021 17:01 | Couldn't resist mentioning that Plat recently said that CORA was also headed for 8p, but then he's full of jealousy and hatred. I confess though, I don't know why you continue spouting on about HUM. You really ought to move on, for otherwise some people might think that 2+2 = 5 in this case. | corrientes
19/9/2021 15:01 | Plat and new_buyer. Please read my posts 10749 and 10750 on ADVFN. And then perhaps you could also read the recent post from Cheerfuldoor on the LSE bb especially where he says quote:- "On the other hand the price could suggest there is something that's not in the public domain." Nooooo! Really? What ARE you suggesting? | borderterrier1
18/9/2021 23:05 | All price predictions are pointless UNLESS you state the POG that you are using to obtain your numbers In short POG is everything | buywell3
18/9/2021 22:44 | Tem I was converting to gbp If we use dollars then mcap is 90 million110k ounces at 1800 is 198m divide by 90 million for mcap/revenue ratioNet margin 15% of 198mFCF here for brush stroke purposes is the revenue minus AISC of 110k x 550 based on 1250 aisc into 1800 average pog. That's all it is thought tem, brushstrokes, lines in the sand, best rough guesstimate etc etc | plat hunter |
