As far as I can understand those who seek to explain history claim that the lures of Bitcoin et al diverted attention from gold miners, and the failure of gold to perform until recently also contributed. Now that gold is really glistening again interest has returned; and to a degree all boats are rising, for now at least. So I'm trying to enjoy the ride while standing close to the life-rafts

I also have some AAU. It has followed a similar graph over the last few years. No real banana skins, in fact a very conservative management - always exceeded forecasts. (That said I am given to understand they badly handled several fundraisers prior to my buying some.)So competence/incompetence doesn't seem to explain the similarity in performance of AAU and HUM. And surprise surprise when you look at the 3-yr chart of most small miners they look surprisingly similar. But maybe you'll tell me that's because most of them also have cr*p management.

Ahh, yes, the mug punters "apples to oranges" comparison scenario, that was then this is now! The FACTS are that this has staggered from crisis to crisis with zero improvement for seven years. BTW, I have "no real losses" either. But I don't share your opinion that this could be considered by any stretch of the imagination to be a "good investment". Only a delusional idiot would think it is.

Haha. That was then and this is now! See, I've said it for you.My first purchase of HUM was around 40p. Since then it has gone mostly south, I grant you. But not without giving me opportunities to average and trade down along the way, particularly in the last few months.I am now around net 10p on my current holding, which is larger than I started with. So I haven't yet enjoyed any profits on this investment but no real losses either.

backmarker Perhaps you would be better off responding to post 4549 on here from Hum mouthpiece Frank Campbell in 2018? You know, the one that says quote:- "Cannacord value Hum at 52p" and "this is a question of who has the balls to follow this through, to hold strong to the fundamentals and OPERATIONAL SUCCESS THAT HUM CONTINUE TO REACH TIME AFTER TIME." Then he SOLD OUT? Now THAT is REAL irony, don't you think? No prizes for guessing where the share price was in 2018 and look where it is today. Now, THAT'S what I call real "operational success!" Now, where's that Bonio.............?

Anyone know what the recovery process is at Kouroussa? Is it ball mill and gravity? How long would it take for ore going in at one end to come out ready for the smelter at the other end?

backmarker Do you still get Wagon Train on your TV? This was 40p AS A HOLE IN THE GROUND in 2016. In 2018 Cannacord predicted this would be 52p. Where exactly do your get your delusional quote:- "100% over six years" from exactly? Please enlighten me?

Plasybryn. Obviously, some "investors" have more patience than others. In another six years when this is still only 20p, you will.

I've not held RSG for couple of years myself but all they have to do now is produce it but as you say, it's always easier said than done.

Plat smoke and mirrors with RSG been in and out a few times done ok but lots of banana skins to slip on of the same ilk as HUM.

Will be a miracle if there will ever be 350 million seen well at least by investors.

OT...I bought some RSG today. They've just got to where we want to be.

350k debt free, unhedged with a 13-1400 AISC.

350 million a year EBITDA, they're going to see some serious cash build over the next 12 months
