Of course not all the shareholders....we have two private equity reps + the chairman who is anything but independent as effectively linked to one of them. We have an interim i.e. not permanent CFO, and we have just the one INED on board. And we have Ashmore a CEO who continues to wave two fingers at his BOD and shareholders by (1) refusing to back his own strategy by buying shares (he hasnt bought in years) despite clear expectations set out by the Board in the Annual Report about his expected participation in building his shareholding to align his interests with those of the shareholders. Meantime, he has yet to deliver anything resembling commercial progress beyond regularly flogging off profitable chunks , presumably taking the view that when the private equity majority shareholders have got the business where they want it, a low ball offer will appear to take it back private.

Nice to pop in & see, nothing has changed here.

Shareholders still being treated like mushrooms stored in a box, completely in the dark.

Glad I bailed a long time ago.

Gla, you'll need it

Absolutely right. A dreadful example of misalignment and misinformation. Really time that the board lived up to its responsibilities and the advisers did their bloody jobs. There is now just one independent non-exec who appears as useless as the rest of the board. Ashmore has consistently, and it appears, deliberately misled and misdirected shareholders. In last 12 months we have had a catalogue of incidents that point to weak governance:
1. Change of year end after FY results meaning goalposts moved
2. Announcement of split of business and Ashmore reporting that we would have CMDs from both companies in May> No sign of any announcement or update! WTF is happening at the board?
3. Sale od Ireland with proceeds earmarked fro strengthening of balance sheet, despite there being no bloody issue with the balance sheet.....and still we have just one executive on the board as the bloody CFO is interim. Numis do your job and challenge this farce

That update does not give a great outlook to the future.

Glad I'm out of here.

They're in trouble like the rest of the UK economy.

High debt.

Big costs are staff and property.

They've already killed/reset many leases and ditch props

Now it's staff costs.

That's exactly what you do to survive but is it 2 little 2 late?
