20/7/2019 22:08 | Hi all, Fairly recently I wrote a Blog about HOTC and have only just got around to shoving a Link on here. I don't hold HOTC (yet) but quite like it and may well take the plunge at some point. This is the link to Part 2 but there is a link to Part 1 at the start. Cheers, WD @WheelieDealer | thewheeliedealer
11/4/2019 22:12 | Well, the first US store on Lexington, NYC only opened in Feb so surprised they have sanctioned 2nd opening in New Jersey so soon. Sounds v. encouraging for US roll-out as long as the novelty doesn't wear off. | superadams
11/4/2019 18:04 | I’ve added HOTC to my isa. Seems like very happy staff, great products, growing branches organically and I like that they are dipping their toes into the Japanese market. I think the quality of the products are good enough for that huge market. Their packages are already near the standard japanese gift size. A HOTC consession, even with current branding of merch/uniform & slight tweaks to the prodtcs would not look out of place in any Japanese station mall or depachika. | deouro

10/4/2019 10:26 | Hotel Chocolat sees sweet opportunity, expands chocolate shops to New York Published on 9 Apr 2019 Hotel Chocolat Group PLC (LON:HOTC) CEO Angus Thirlwell tells Proactive Investors the UK-based company, which grows its own cocoa beans at its farm in St. Lucia, has recently opened its first boutique store in New York City, followed by a second store in New Jersey. Thirlwell says the company that has recently pulled in more than £80 million in half-yearly sales, chose the Tri-state area for its high foot traffic. He looks forward to the upcoming Easter holidays to further boost sales. | martywidget
26/1/2019 11:03 | 24 January 2019 | 16:00pm StockMarketWire.com - Berenberg today reaffirms its hold investment rating on Hotel Chocolat Group Ltd [LON:HOTC] and cut its price target to 300p (from 340p). Peel Hunt, which rates the stock at 'buy' with a 300p price target, said the statement confirms a very good Christmas season and while there is no upgrade, this is "more than excusable" with such consumer uncertainty around and the interims only a month away. "What today showcased was that the Hotel Chocolat brand is growing its sales strongly in a number of ways: in store LFL was positive for the half and especially in the last few weeks of December. Online growth remains strong and the wholesale opportunity is material but won't compromise brand equity. "The early signs are good from the nascent ventures into Japan and the USA too. This is a high quality company, growing in a controlled fashion, with a very strong brand and high barriers to entry. The multiple isn't lowly but today is another example of why investors will continue to pay up for quality." Latest broker views | martywidget

14/1/2019 09:00 | Good program. The lady that tipped the chocolates on the floor and went to pick them up should have been quicker to say they will have to be dumped rather than bending down to pick them up, as though they were going back in the box and on display. Over priced chocolates but well set out shops and Angus came across very well, as did all the staff. How long before they get taken over? | clocktower
13/1/2019 20:47 | If the level of enthusiasm by the staff and Angus Thirlwell is any measure of success portrayed in the documentary, then this company is a sure-fire bet to achievement, Xmas trading statement will be interesting; off course the market may have the final say! | bookbroker

12/10/2018 17:32 | Massively overvalued, not the answer to above, a unique business with a special niche in the market, but the premium is unwarranted, currently 30x earnings, that is some expansion baked into the equation, one slip and it could easily halve! | bookbroker
12/10/2018 16:32 | Surprised there has been no activity on this thread since June, especially with the preliminary results that came out on the 25th September. Unless there's another thread where this company is being discussed? | dancingqueen
