Looking at the spot Nickel graph it does look like nickle has started to head back up, and warehouse stocks are decreasing. We shall see. Interesting times.

Watching Nickel price: upwardly mobile now most days.
HZM has legs & more interest every day, with a steady number of trades, much changed since early in the yr.
Note the large round numbered trades that often pop up/100000 & upwards.

An AGM report addendum; I asked for comment on what is now a very large institutional shareholder base with the City Financial addition at recent placing. In particular, Anglo P which on an earlier occasion JM said they were looking for a negotiated exit he said that had little from them of late and thought they were now content to wait and hold their slightly diluted 5%. Henderson remain strongly supportive and will see through to end game. Richard Griffiths (private family fund holding?? - not sure, anyone know more?) impresses me with his increase over the year from around 4 to 14% (much at 1p placing!) - although he collects duds along the way (caught a cold with AUE recently!), he knows how to smell out a winner and his commitment signifies he thinks he has found one in HZM. My guess is that he may trade at some stage to 'free carry' but believe he is in for long term. I asked whether Glencore might seek a seat on board and JM thought not, GAP did not sit well in their portfolio and hence their sale at knock down price. However, JM thought they would also hold to end game. Maybe, City Financial with 6% may seek to trade some (Chris finncap thought so) at some stage, however, JM did not think they would be an early seller.

As a little bit of background, while at the finnCap offices,I picked up a copy of 'Tailings' their Mining sector quarterly note. I quote:

"This quarter's (Q1) topic: We consider the possibility that the Mining Sector may have reached the low point of the current cycle. The finnCap 40 Mining Index has now been runing since March 2014. Since our previous quarterly it has begun to show signs of recovery, with strong price appreciation since the start of 2016. The index low was reached on 20th January; since then it has risen by nearly 37%. It is far too soon to call a definite bottom in this cycle, but nevertheless this is encouraging."

Hope above of some interest!

Haydock,

Yes I see that 50SMA has crossed both all the long term SMA(100,150,200) with all now just about turning upwards too. There was also decent volume with the rise.
Certainly a bullish signal of the trend.

Many thanks folks for the fine work.
The flesh has been put on the bones, particularly in the comments about timing, which we would normally never have picked up, on the bb's.

When we are down to timing for the starting gun, things are looking far better.

I noticed a Bloomberg headline today about the Chinese going crazy for commodities.
Wall of money anyone ?
Always the way when the mkt. is talking things up, but we can sit & wait for all that to come to HZM.
