Yes, amazing how people get into a panic as the share price is going down and there hasn't been any news for 5 mins. What's important is that the fundamentals are there, i.e. good demand being met at a good gross margin, a strong competitive advantage and barriers to entry. I will also be adding at this price and hopefully even lower.

The only concern for me is that the services revenues have stalled. I wasn't expecting this. However, the products revenues is increasing very nicely.

The other thing to point out is that the CEO is clearly highly entrepreneurial and starting lots of different projects, only some of which will be successful. At this stage of a business there is likely to be fat and unprofitable areas in the business as they give things a go and see what works. In 5 years time they may have a different CEO or perhaps Private Equity buy-out which will focus in and strip out any excess.

I guess you have to find your own style of investing PJJ71. Mine is long term buy and hold and I think 5 years rather than 5 months or days.

But each to their own.

As I said, I am buyer. There will be news flow at some point and I have the patience to wait for it.

Reduced my holding by 30% a couple of weeks ago but still believe in their story , so will hold the rest for the long term. Surprised at this latest fall and hope there is nothing too sinister to come out of the woodwork. Should make a big difference if we get to the predicted EBITDA breakeven by mid next year.

No idea when the news will come. Now "might" be a good time to start buying in. Near a possible bottom and buyers possibly returning.

Agreed - interestingly they will also get a share of the gold if the miners strike rich as well.

The analogy here is of a company selling picks and shovels to the gold miners of the biotech industry.

Agreed mamcw - they said they were building for scale. I think they have accomplished that to a large degree and now the earnings should really begin to show.

I do think they are a takeover candidate over the next 12 months.

Thanks deltrotter for the results link - I agree, an intriguing end to conference call. CEO gave out two clear messages:
- they see themselves as vulnerable to a bid, particularly as they turn EBITDA positive.
- they have a major announcement coming in the treatment of cancer, where he claims that Horizon have a clear technology edge.
