but beyond that I'm not sure if the fund raising and IP battles described in the two links below are particularly relevant to it, although illustrate the excitement around the tech. Worth a read though...

The life sciences group has lost a third of its value since peaking at 235p in January as the market grows impatient about a lack of newsflow. A trading update (20 Jul) did nothing to change the situation despite confirmation of a 112% year-on-year increase in half-year revenue to £8.6 million. The £151.8 million cap stands to collect undisclosed royalties and £158 million in milestone payments if all its projects reach the market – but timing remains uncertain.

Horizon has a huge pipeline and is chasing high rewards but still needs regular upbeat newsflow to stop its shares drifting. Be patient. (MD)

Horizon are in a very very new bioscience area including personalised medicines for cancer. There is great promise there, only there is no promise ... just a lot of likelihood, rather. Even when a product does get brought out, there is also a lot of testing to be done, with possible disappointments, before marketing such that profits arise, and they will be down the line from that point too.

Soooo ... a speculative buy, IMHO; but I have, and recent price weakness will tempt me to buy more. This is one of those cases where averaging down is worth doing, I believe.

I hope you are right Cumbrian, just a small holding for me as risk/ reward ratio quite high but one I am happy to lock away for a couple of years. If I lose the lot it won't hurt but if it does well it will be like winning on the P Bonds

Been buying these since tipped in SCSW and Shares(only noticed recently) top lists for 2015. Currently 20% down but have been building a stake all the way down and currently have 39,000 @ 1.90ish average, so a top 5 position in my portfolio. Surprised at lack of activity this morning and as usual you can buy within spread with mid price of 161p. Still have a good feeling that during next few years this will turn into a great long term investment, having a cumulative effect of organic growth, bolt on acquisitions and R-D/success royalties. Guess we may have to wait until next year to see this really start to motor, but they are doing everything right at the moment and I retain the faith!

Looks fantastic RNS today. Hopefully this should mark a turning point in the share price. Or maybe stop the seller from selling.

Great to be involved in such an exciting and progressive company. Not a massive holding for me, but hopefully this could eventually be a v profitable one.
