HLCL This bowl started when "flat" or rising 200ma was crossed after a volume spike and followed by a volume spike and higher activity. Driven by positive news, tips/ press coverage. The 200ma is the bowl. Seems to be the signature for early entry imo..............................

is this making a little bowl, since November? Afraid it's Chinese AIM, CR, though it does pay around 8% dividend

after a lot of scouring, ive found a perfect bowl....

lol

sorry but i really dont buy into this bowl formation business. i cant see how you would short term trade on it ie T20 deals or indeed T10's, and i cant see at what point the trigger emerges for an official bowl having being formed, and probably you'll have missed the bottom, and in essence youre buying a breakout or break of long term down trend which are straight forward normal chart patterns, it seems incidental to me that the shape of the bottom of it was a bowl shape... just my opinion,. but i hope you enjoy the bowl i found. ::-)

Reviewing some of my dire 2013 picks, I notice that IDOX is demonstrating a possible bowl (if anyone is able to post a 2 year chart - though the link below may work...):

From the thread "SHAFT SINKERS The thread for debate not bile. (SHFT)" -

"This chart is developing a saucer imo. When the 50 day m/a Crosses the flat 200 m/a poss. in next 2 months, supported by RNS dir. buys or other positive statement this could attract the volume to start and continue driving the price....up. All IMO. DYOR."

"Rounded Bottoms are elongated and U-shaped, and are sometimes referred to as rounding turns, bowls or saucers."

May not be everyones cup of tea but isn't GRL at the bottom of a perfect 1yr bowl?
On reflection, perhaps more a soup bowl.
