Do you think Webb has got this one wrong ? There is something he likes about this business. They are opening opperations in Asia to move with their clients.
Most semi-conductor firms believe there will be an upturn in demand next year, and mobile firms are being allowed to collaborate on buildng 3G networks- is this the worst of it?. Its a scandal that MM can get away with dropping the price like that with no sales- that is unless there are some big sales to be reported after market hours. Hope they maintain the dividend.

Ridicious -38.9% mark down and no sells.... on this announcemnet!! MMs having a laugh?

LONDON (AFX) - Holders Technology PLC said it expects its result for the
year as a whole to be "substantially below current market expectations." It added that while it will achieve an interim result "broadly in line with
expectations as regards its underlying distribution business, after allowing for
the continuing development costs of Justfone -- its 81 pct-owned subsidiary --
it will record an interim result lower than that for last year. "The electronics industry is continuing to experience cutbacks in demand by
customers across Europe, particularly in the telecoms area," the company said. "Although current indications are that the company will be profitable in its second half, it expects that the result for the year as a whole will be
substantially below current market expectations," the company said. It added: "While Holders is taking measures to reduce costs in its core
distribution business, it will continue to add specialist products to its range
and preserve customer service levels." bam

Profits warnings can be negative - warning of losses - which is much the most common.
However in December HDT issued a statement that the profits would be above that expected by the market - clearly a "positive profits warning". I used that phrase to try and intrigue some not already in HDT to read the thread out of curiosity.
It didn't really work - and I'm sorry people didn't like it! Best of motives though.

This rise makes me think something is afoot. Holding for the time being anyway.

Funny title - positive profits warning - can only assume it means the warning is of exceptionally good profits!
I think I've missed this one as it has shot up dramatically and if I buy in now, I'll just about catch the reverse swing of the pendulum.
Would be intersting to know the story of this one tho - may be one to watch

Take a look at HDT's justfone division

their online alert system could be huge,'telematics'- download the pdf for all the uses.

Peter Webb has just bought another 170,000 for Eaglet Trust.
Had a marked affect on the price today

What a sparkling set of results , justfone looking to build profitability in the second half is very encouraging. How cheap is this share , .9m profits, 100k cash, only 5.2m market cap.

Holders Technology has just issued a very bullish profits "warning".

Share price up 15% on NIL volume.

Anyone know anything?

Holders has been making significant investment in its just phone division , it is building mobile devices for machinery that telephone operators when there is a fault. Investors Chronicle described this division as particularly interesting a few months ago.However even the smallest trades shift the price.
