Geo political chess:

1. If the US pre-emptively attacks NK any time after next Sunday, then immediately following on .....

2. China invades Taiwan and reclaims the territory as its own.

3. Russia and Turkey bomb/clear US illegal bases in Northern Syria.

4. Russia supports Donbass defensive forces to push US/NATO advised Kiev troops and armour out of greater Donbass completely. The provinces of Donetsk and Luhansk then vote and are accepted as part of Russia as per Crimea.

Gold not going far from $1350, biding its time for the next push much higher.

Despite the warming of relations between SK and NK and the present detente the US position is that as soon as the Games closing ceremony is over next Sunday it's war mongering toward NK will be revived in spades. Until they give up their nucs. So the US is not interested in any negotiated solution as before but is still on course for pre-emptive attack on NK in early Spring.

Future PM movements in response to events here?

I do so hope this is the year of the major stock market crash, its not happened as yet. Perhaps the top is in for the dow , with inflation starting up. Rates MUST rise 4 times this year, sucking cash into savings?
Gold is great in inflation, but not in the early stages of rate rises. But, we HAVE been in the early stages of rate rises.
All bets are off!

USD bouncing a little up so probably a buy chance coming. Inevitably will dive to average line I may sell then as provokes larger bounce and gold dive.
OT US market likely to fly in V shaped recovery, I kept my WPY.

When this crash does come so much middle class 'wealth' is going to evaporate. And it won't bounce back.

Prepare now. No harm in being early.

The whole world follows what the Fed says like a puppet on a string: Janet Yellen says the stock markets won't crash so everyone jumps in. When the world stops believing what the Fed says, watch out! A lot of people are going to get wiped out and it won't be the smart money who got in at the bottom, it'll be Joe Blow who got in at the top.The smart money is moving into gold.
