Erm, did you miss the news about futures on cryptocurrencies?

This crypto mania is ridiculous. I'm 29 so I should be in the generation that is enthralled with cryptos. The sheer greed and speculation is mind-boggling. Money for nothing. No. It's madness built on sand and crytocurrenices are quite possibly a psy-op. Central Banks and banks will use blockchain, but it ain't going to be BitCoin and it isn't going to make you rich unless you managed to ride the wave and have the foresight and discipline to sell early and it's certainly not going to set us free. It's going to do the exact opposite.

Shakey - from what I am hearing, unlike stocks which are ruthlessly manipulated, cryptos make for near perfect technical analysis. The trend is up, buying volume is expected to rise for the next few years and also I believe certain coins will be integrated into the online retail supply chain in the near future. The only thing stopping more people making big money is fear and scepticism.

Charles, how much upside? There is no way to value them because they don't actually have any value and don't represent anything. They could keep going, but at some point they will get smashed to intrinsic value which is 0.

Wishing all HOC holders the very best over Xmas and the coming year. I hope 2018 turns out to be a great one for HOC which is still by far my largest holding. I am hoping that precious metals will be strong and the reduced debt and increased income via higher commodity prices will propel HOC forwards. Their prospecting will hopefully deliver more encouraging results too and the story will just get better and better.

Firmed up production profile. incl Q3 actual and confirmed guidance for FY which is on track for 37 million Ag equiv oz.

Traditionally Q3 and Q4 are the strongest quarters for HOC production.

After Q3 result:
HOC attributable production (million Ag equiv oz).

........... Q1....... Q2..... Q3..... Q4 ...... FY

2016.......7.4 ......9.5.....9.9.....8.6 ......35.5 (Q4 affected by Pallancata dispute)

2017.......8.6 ......9.3....10.3.....9.5?......37.7? (guidance 37.0)

After Pablo permit announcement 9/11/2017:
HOC attributable production (million Ag equiv oz).

........... Q1....... Q2..... Q3..... Q4 ...... FY

2016.......7.4 ......9.5.....9.9.....8.6 ......35.5

2017.......8.6 ......9.3....10.3....10.3?......38.5? (guidance 37.0)

So Q4/17 production result in January will likely show a significant jump on the comparative Q4/16 result.
Q4/16 production was impacted by the shut down of production at Pallancata due to the dispute that was resolved in Q1 this year.

FY Production guidance for 2018 is likely to be improved from the 37 million oz for FY 2017 to 39-40 million Ag equiv oz.

A new year doesn’t mean metals explode. It’s a waiting game and it could be years and years before that happens. People can say that all the dynamics are in place for it to happen but as we’ve seen this year, even threat of a war didn’t ignite the slightest flicker.

Nice strong close here today. Gold and silver both rebounding too. Let's see what happens tomorrow. Can HOC give us a nice little stocking filler with the proper present deferred until some time in 2018.
