Topicel ~ thanks for that, I just wanted more aware peeps than myself to comment on
what I thought could be a really tight situation for silver. Surely, industrial demand will reign in the course of time and particularly uses for solar panels and elsewhere.

Topical, nor would I trust the anti gold gainsayers too far.
So I suppose that means they are all neutralised. They all make money out of soothsaying .

Rhuvaal2 - this rumour about JPM holding 500m dollars worth, or perhaps even ounces, of silver is hardly verifiable.

It does come out of the mouths of silver and gold bull advocates and their websites/videos so I'd not trust it too far. But if it was true, then indeed at some point you'd expect them to finish messing with the paper short side to keep accumulating cheaply and let PM prices, especially silver, run.

At least for a bit. Aside from macro pressures most here believe the ending of the Comex and LBMA manipulation so will be sooner than later for a number of reasons from China's SGE to Trump hoping to go to some form of gold backed T-note.

We can but assume if JPM have such a large holding they are being allowed to for a good reason and will not be 'hunted' like the Hunt brothers were in the 80s...

That holding would make you an HOC millionaire at £6 Pixi.

I'll be merely holding a six figure sum, but hope you get there as we'll both be well pleased I reckon!

There must be a few top-brass at JP Morgan who have seen their massive horde of silver reach a point when they'd like a pay-off for their forthcoming retirement.. Most strange if they're adding: always for a future generation and not for themselves.
Someone ~ has this gone on for around 15 years?

So......if the non farms are really good...all the corrupt goons will short PMs more in the anticipation that rates will rise in the US more and more....

I fully expect gold and silver to have one more slam dunk before they start recovering.

Extrader, I know of it, but thanks.. Fascinating is geology, I have a degree in Biology which has taken me via fossils and microfossils, to geothermals, and of course sedimentary geology and even caving, over the years, part of this got me interested in mines.
Technology however is the most exciting aspect of modern mining, to me, which is why what steve pointed out from the results looks so exciting.

Hector. Thanks. Yes, it seems the understanding they have gained at San Jose of the surface features relating to underground veins they are going to apply to the mines in Peru. At San Jose they have gone from 3 original veins to 160 now over 10 years so their geologists have gained a lot of experience and the geology of all 4 mines in Peru and Argentina is very similar.

About long life mines:
Arcata has been mined for the past 50 years and is still going strong with new discoveries and extensions of mine life. To have such a long life mine is very rare.
San Jose. 10 years of production. A long future ahead.
Pallancata. 10 years of production so far with massive future potential from Pablo Piso veins, Millet, etc.
Inmaculada. The biggest and best of them all. Just 18 months of production at 17 million Ag equiv oz year (225 million gold equiv oz) and already they are thinking of expansion possibilities if new drilling matches expectation.

HOC is looking to increase reserves and resources over the the next few years to 2020 to 5 years of reserves and 10 years of resources (just at the existing mines) to give visibility to the markets and confidence in its long term future of production at current or higher levels. All the other prospective mines in their portfolio incl Volcan at 9.5 million oz gold are extra and icing on the cake.
The prospectivity of their near mine territory is outstanding and they are hugely excited by this and all aspects of lowering costs and improving profitability even at these world class stupid prices for silver and gold.
If silver goes to $50, $100 or more as expected the value of shares in this company is unimaginable!
