19/6/2021 09:55 | There's a lot to be done by the new government regards the mining sector. It's all well and good taking a larger slice of the pie but maybe they should use any levies to improve safety standards, roads and infrastructure as well as mitigating all the damage being done by the mining operations to the natural environment.Sad times ind the d for the families involved. | knocknock

18/6/2021 15:49 | Charles, I'm trying to avoid dodgy places to invest. Turkey is one of them. The government has withheld paperwork from one of my miners and is being taken to court. So I've restricted my activities to countries which are in more stable jurisdictions. I think that people are starting to do the same thing. It makes sense to me. | davidspringbank
18/6/2021 15:19 | Hi David I also think FRES is a good investment for the future. I hope you are still holding AAU as well. Seems quite cheap at the moment! | charles clore
18/6/2021 15:04 | I sold HOC yesterday and bought FRES instead. I didn't like the idea of a socialist school teacher holding companies to ransom in Peru. | davidspringbank

18/6/2021 07:35 | The USA is creating unprecedented amounts of money out of thin air (& they are not alone). It's Zimbabwe territory only they are better at hiding it. Personally I see this is a very temporary blip in the price of gold/silver, funny money creation can only put upward pressure on physical gold in the long run. | wakeland
18/6/2021 02:50 | Isn't this to do with the Fed's latest press conference and talk about raising interest rates (eventually). Higher interest rates means gold and silver become less attractive. More particularly, as we know, gold reacts better to low 'real' interest rates (interest rates minus inflation). It reacts especially well to negative real interest rates, which is where we are now. If real interest rates turn positive gold will fall back as it did between about 2013 and 2019. Jerome Powell at the Fed is to blame for this one I reckon. It's all talk though, the Fed isn't even talking about doing this until 2023, anything could happen in the meantime. | cassini

17/6/2021 11:46 | pollysmate, you have the obvious producers like FR but if flexible I suggest also worth looking at MRZ.V. Diluted exposure for silver but currently very much off the silver radar. Also, not many venture stocks are flush enough to undertake a company share buyback scheme which puts a floor somewhat on downside. | yikyak
