11/1/2018 16:31 | Not surprised, Redux was spun out of Hi-Wave, aka NXT. Wouldn't be at all surprised if this was the plan all along. Get it asset stripped taking the relevant IP on the cheap to a non floated company, wait, then approach with said choice patents. Probably twigged the opportunity as soon as they saw Google Glass was leveraging conductive audio, coincidentally bang around the time they put the company into administration. | landoian
11/1/2018 14:34 | Saw this and remembered NXT from years (10+?) ago: | carcosa
09/1/2018 12:57 | All looks suspiciously similar........... hxxps://www.techhive Time to hunt down the incompetent Board of imbeciles and sue for our losses........ | temporarily insane
01/10/2017 11:17 | This isn't the Telegraph article I saw, but it definitely relates to the same story. Surely this is NXT technology? | jeffian
30/9/2017 23:18 | How can we sue these crooks?...How can we sue the families of the crooks???? We have all lost millions together.. | temporarily insane
30/9/2017 23:04 | Sounds like nxt technology. We were shafted by hiwave. | dafrog
30/9/2017 12:15 | Really don't know. You'd have to chase up who makes/licences the actuators etc. Seems to be a German listed company, Continental AG. | pvb
30/9/2017 11:46 | Does anyone know what happened to NXT's flat panel speaker technology? I was completely sold on it as it seemed a no-brainer for the car industry, replacing all those expensive and cumbersome speaker systems with 'live' panels as part of the car interior, but it never seemed to catch on. Now, blow me down, I've just read in the Telegraph motoring supplement today about a company called Continental which has fitted a Mercedes C Class with live panels in the roof lining, door panels and dashboard. Surely this is the old NXT technology? | jeffian
07/1/2016 13:14 | I held these shares for years and see that the company has finally been dissolved as of 10th Dec last year. Does that mean that we should now be registering losses for CGT purposes? | donkz100
06/1/2016 10:19 | Takes you back! As NTX these used to be just about the most discussed share on many a BB. I haven't registered any of my losses for CGT for years and years. The tax reporting system is, like everything else, changing from April this year. But I expect in the short term it will only affect Income Tax | pvb
23/6/2015 09:57 | Mine were in SIPP so lost the ability regarding CGT too I have clip-on Advent speakers also and agree they are very good. | tackems
22/1/2015 15:07 | pvb. I'm no expert but I do a return every year and attach a page with my return showing CGT. Attachments have to be PDF but you can download free write for single pages. I believe that if you have anything extra like property investment and businesses then they do want you to do one each year. I don't know if that applies to share dealing though. | dafrog
22/1/2015 14:19 | dafrog, may I ask if you do a SA Tax form every year and this is when you list any losses? Or do you just send a list separately? I don't do a SA Tax form so over the years have neglected to bother sending in such lists wrt CG Tax losses. I also wonder if I sent HMRC such a list they would put me back on SA, which I am happier to without. TIA | pvb
22/1/2015 12:52 | Mine were all in ISA so couldn't claim. However, I list all my losses and send to HMRC for recording each year. I've not seen a list and would ignore it if there was one. Many of my shares are AIM, bought for the 10% CGT with indexation. Now no indexation thanks to libdem cable and 10% seems like a dream. I therefore now give not a penny more in tax than I have to. | dafrog
22/1/2015 09:47 | Just to bring this back to life... If the listing is cancelled can I take the cost of my shares in this company as a capital loss now? Doing my tax return and I'd like to take this to offset some gains. Or does it have to be on the HMRC list for me to take the loss? | jack cheyette
17/9/2014 16:37 | I still reckon my Advent NXT speakers that I bought are one of the best I have used! Does anyone know if the IP for HIW has been sold on or has it time expired? | tackems
07/6/2014 16:30 | Sorry guys but I've found the answer. The listing wasn't cancelled until 3 March. | kenbachelor
07/6/2014 16:18 | My accountant is tidying up my personal accounts to 5 April and he has asked me about my share holding in HIW. I assumed that by now they would be on the IRev worthless list, but I can't find them. Can anybody help me? | kenbachelor
12/2/2014 12:24 | I also keep this as a favourite. Need to keep a watch on people that take companies off shareholders. | dafrog
12/2/2014 11:37 | I keep checking in here occasionally perhaps in the hope that one day ... I'm allowed a bit of wishful thinking, maybe it was because I thought they had some great products! Ho hum | tackems
17/1/2014 07:07 | OliversAnvil Anyone who believes they can obtain legal advice from a top firm of London solicitors for less than £400 is an idiot. On that basis and from your post I can only surmise you are either a fool or you are not a member of SAG and are up to mischief with your enquiry. On the other hand, if you are a member of SAG and you believe you have been conned then either shut up or get out. Preparing a successful legal case takes time and patience. I have paid my £400 and I am prepared to pay twenty times that amount to see justice brought to bear against those responsible for the demise of NXT and HIW. I suggest you take a long look at Redux and come back and pose a similar question! | flatpack |
