I still reckon my Advent NXT speakers that I bought are one of the best I have used!

Does anyone know if the IP for HIW has been sold on or has it time expired?

My accountant is tidying up my personal accounts to 5 April and he has asked me about my share holding in HIW. I assumed that by now they would be on the IRev worthless list, but I can't find them.

Can anybody help me?

Anyone who believes they can obtain legal advice from a top firm of London solicitors for less than £400 is an idiot. On that basis and from your post I can only surmise you are either a fool or you are not a member of SAG and are up to mischief with your enquiry.

On the other hand, if you are a member of SAG and you believe you have been conned then either shut up or get out.

Preparing a successful legal case takes time and patience. I have paid my £400 and I am prepared to pay twenty times that amount to see justice brought to bear against those responsible for the demise of NXT and HIW.

I suggest you take a long look at Redux and come back and pose a similar question!

So, do I have this right? The administrators have done their due diligence and sold (given away) most of the company to some of the old directors. But, they have done this only on the proviso that if, in the next two years, the assets of HIW turn out to be more valuable that implied by the sell price (i.e. zero) then the original shareholders will get a return.

So why don't the SLG (I am not a member by the way, but not through choice) set up a new company, give all the shareholders of HIW an opportunity to buy into it and assuming they get enough interest, go and buy back all the decent IP from the whatever company now owns it. The money expended will just come back to HIW shareholders so we will be in the same net position financially but of course we will now own the IP and the old directors can't use it without actually giving us fair value for it!

Perhaps a bit naive but maybe worth a shot!

URGENT - POTENTIAL OPPORTUNITY TO SEEK COMPENSATION

An e-mail has been sent tonight to all SLG members. It contains a very important solicitor's letter setting out the grounds for a legal action possibly leading to some compensation for existing and previous shareholders in HiW.

If you are an SLG member would you please read and respond to this e-mail as a matter of urgency.

If we are to seek to pursue compensation we will need to set up a new Shareholder Action Group (SAG) and organise some funds to pay for initial legal costs.

Any shareholders or ex-shareholders who are not currently members of the SLG are invited to join the new SAG. If you are interested in joining please send an e-mail to: nxtslg@hotmail.co.uk with your name and contact details. You will then be sent the same information that SLG members have received this evening.

Regards

SLG Committee

The report from SLGC was sent out late last night following its 4 hour meeting with David Calderwood on the 18 December.

Any SLG member who does not receive it please email nxtslg@hotmail.co.uk

It is most evident that without David Calderwood in the Chair HiW would now be in Receivership. Shareholders are indebted especially to him and also to James Lewis for all the hard work they have put in to bring this company to a stage where at least it has the prospect of survival. HiW's future will not be clear until all the combinations of offers to buy parts of the business or even to enter into Joint Ventures is assessed in late January.

SLGC would like to take this opportunity to wish all SLG and ADVFN members a very Merry Christmas and may 2013 be a profitable one for all HiW shareholders.

Christmas greetings to all SLG and other ADVFN members and may 2013 see a recovery in the HiW share price.

An email message has been sent to all SLG members which requires a prompt response please.

If you do not receive it please email us at: nxtslg@hotmail.co.uk

Thank you.

There seems to be a good two way trade in HIW shares at the new low level, so someone still thinks they are worth a punt.

dafrog, is that a quote? Where from? I've seen a lot of people suggesting HIW are working with Apple, but nothing reliable to back that up. Indeed I would not expect Apple would permit HIW to say anything even if there is something to say. Is it just people guessing that HIW sound is an obvious fit for a tablet?

One hopes HIW have reached the point where they know there are better things to come and, that FTI can do the window dressing and spread the word to fundies. The fact that FTI are happy to take them on, is a good vote of confidence in the improving future of HIW. This time next year Rodders.................

Mind you the best window dressing is to make consistently improving profits, and not to project a rosey looking future that turns out to be a paper moon.

Mr Lewis has done a great job in turning this beached hulk into an actual real business. Perhaps FTI will raise our profile and enhance the sp?
