08/11/2004 09:08 | Tried six flavours - superb. Very good product. Just need to ramp production over the next 6 months and then we might see it in our local Tesco. Easier said than done, but as they are just expanding should go okay. I don't think product could be better. All smooth - no lumps, most sophisticted ice cream I have ever bought/eaten. Difficult to explain but more so than HD/B&J's. Perhaps because currently not so well known/British made/different and grown up flavours. I think they have got it right. Just got to produce it now and not get bashed by the supermarkets. If they make own label just hope its not as good as Hill Station, could be dangerous to the growing brand. Also had coms with company - first class also. | peart
06/11/2004 14:48 | It seems to me that most of the posts here are ramps. The market seems to have other views. | haystack
05/11/2004 22:41 | I had some delicious Rum and Banana Ice Cream today. I was just a tad worried by the little gritty bits which I think were coconut. I hope they were LOL. | agincourt
05/11/2004 22:39 | To everybody Re: Haystack Haystack is, we know, halfwitted and is only on here to be annoying to me. He has no interest at all in this company. The only way to deal with him is to ignore him completely. Please edit any reference to him out of your posts. Put something interesting there instead. I will do the same. Just ignore him. He claims to be posting in response to ramping. There will be no ramping on the thread so let us just see what happens. | agincourt
05/11/2004 22:31 | Evening Angel. Thanks for flagging this on the PDR board. Looks like a good un, I must do some research over the weekend! Good to see PDG up today (at last), have sold some but still hold a good few. Hope that things are good for you and work is not too busy - but if it is that's also good news ;) Mind how you go. | madigan
05/11/2004 22:10 | Haystack - Are you not tired of people 'pulling your plonker' - why not just disappear under the rock from whence thou came! Does this not embarass you my friend? If you don't hold or intend to then.....bog off for pity's sake. | angel of the north
05/11/2004 17:08 | Agincourt - Not filtered Filtering posters is a sure sign of a weak mind. | haystack
05/11/2004 14:54 | Hi Agincourt, Bit new on this, but lot of hope for this co. Any chance you could email me the Independent Company Research Report to georgieporgiestew@ho Sorry 'bout that - just found it further up. | georgie53
05/11/2004 13:10 | This still looks a half dead dog. It looks like it has much further to fall. | haystack
05/11/2004 08:46 | It's a lovely day up in Angel land, the sun is shining and the sky is blue. The Geordies and Smoggies cruise through Europe and even the Mackems ooze quality. Everything is rosy. I'm off to Tesco (South Shields)to treat myself to premium ice-cream! Perhaps vanilla with ginger. Got to have some.....word is it's dee-licious. This is not investment advice, I am not qualified to give it. It is a tasty ramp! Cy'all and.....Gan canny wi the ice cream! | angel of the north s
04/11/2004 20:29 | Will be going over to the Inverness Tesco's tomorrow, its a massive store open 24 hours, will have a look for some Hill Station Ice Cream and will report back here. Still not holding... but very interested. | gateside
04/11/2004 20:24 | The shares have responded reasonably since 'perceived' dilution and now what we need is some decent press over the weekend. This could be one of those shares that might just tickle people's fancy as well as the taste buds....just look at the performance of Glisten. Disappointed that Tesco (Gateshead Town Centre) does not stock any of the range (Why)? So I cannot put one of my roots for share selection to the test....yet! 'If you like the product - Buy the shares' Angel. | angel of the north
03/11/2004 21:34 | Found a full range if Ice Creams in Tesco. Will test then report back. LOL | agincourt
01/11/2004 20:38 | Haystack What's your view on EIC? By the way... I think you should post another chart on CLY ...I think they're missing you... | loverat
01/11/2004 20:37 | ."We set out to make the best-possible ice cream and to market it on quality, not price. Ice cream-lovers certainly seem to like that approach - and to relate to our 'spirit of adventure'. So we are delighted that the City has just given us an equally encouraging response. With the new funds, we'll be able to make people even more aware of the Hill Station difference: authenticity, originality - and the occasional taste of the unexpected." | agincourt
01/11/2004 20:35 | I suppose that one reason for expecting this to tank is that Agincourt seems to support it in some shape or form. I might have known he would pick a stock that is doomed. He claims to have bought DDD so anything is possible. | haystack
01/11/2004 20:29 | adriand Presumably that's why they are moving to a bigger factory. "Hill Station ice cream is manufactured in a 2,500 square foot factory in North Wiltshire under stringent standards of hygiene and procedure. The Company is currently planning to relocate its manufacturing to a larger facility, which will provide sufficient production capacity both to accommodate significant future growth of the Hill Station brand and to allow the Company to pursue new business aggressively." | agincourt
01/11/2004 20:23 | Hill Station is currently operating from a 2,500sq ft factory - thats only 50' x 50'. What is to stop another startup company coming in an taking a bit of the market. What about the smoothie company "Innocent", it would seem a natural extension for me. | adriand
01/11/2004 19:28 | Haystack - I'm not a shareholder, but you need to substantiate your comments a bit more... otherwise you're simply talking rubbish. If it was such a no hope, why stick around on this BB (i guess you're either trying to pick up a bargain when the opportunity arises or you want to short it. I don't like people who just go around trying to scare people with no evidence behind them. If you want to short the stock, just let me know when... and I'll buy more/double of whatever you short ;P | factsonly
01/11/2004 15:06 | Pulling back all the while......As on Friday, one cannot trust the sell/buy figures being registered. With a 10% dilution being perceived to come into effect tomorrow morning the MM's have pre-empted wrongly shareholders reactions to this. My feelings are that Hillstation will absorb this and go on from here. A golden opportunity to add (Would have been better a couple of hours ago)and I don't think these opportunities will arise at this price again. I feel comfortable. Angel. | angel of the north s
01/11/2004 13:01 | This does look like being a lot lower yet. | haystack
01/11/2004 12:44 | looks like the intra-day bottom has been. And what a nicely shaped bottom if I may add !!!!! | liarspoker
01/11/2004 12:15 | Although the ASK price was 11p - no-one was paying that.....9.8 was the norm. Haystack! What exactly do you mean by 'No-Hope' stocks - Why do you come on this board and make such a statement? Give me a SOLID and SENSIBLE reason for your INANE statement. Or are you de-ramping to get in cheaper....if that's the case, looks like you missed the bus. Angel. | angel of the north s |
