Fidelity have bought 73,000, whilst North Atlantic have sold a considerable amount of their large holding, but the price is lovely and stable at around its highs. More to come methinks.

This is to good to be true. I really think we could have another stalker on our tails and soon before the share price goes any higher. This seems to be a very good investment

The ex-div date for last year's final divi was 27 March 2005, so probably any time around then will be the cut-off.

Yep, up to new highs now. Should head for 75p and maybe 80p now imo, with more to come assuming H2 is as good as H1 and before that huge final dividend.

Nice move today on low declared volumes. Not surprsing that no-one wants to sell given the prospects for both capital growth and income over the next six months.

Wait for the big one next spring. 3.4p per share is more than twice the divi that was paid recently.

Bought these on 28 Sep. Will I be eligible for the divi? When is the divi due to be paid?

Thx,

DDM.

There really is no need for that attitude..... no wonder some Scots people have a reputation for being small minded with big chips on their shoulders.

Michael Walters has again posted on HWY on his site:

Just one snippet - it's reflecting on a new Shore Capital note:

"Shore forecasts pre-tax profits of £22.5m for 2005 with earnings of 7.7p, and a dividend of 5p. The forecast for 2006 projects pre-tax profits of £24m, earnings of 8.3p, and a dividend of 5.5p.
Shore looks at the potential rise in investment income, notes that the dividends for 2005 and 2006 are likely to be covered 1.5 times, and suggests that the dividend is not just sustainable but could be increased significantly in the years to come."

Shore also talk about a possible further return (by special divi?) to shareholders IN ADDITION to the above mega dividends due to the potential surplus of capital.

Another snippet from an MW article earlier this week:

"There is fair range of projections from the brokers who follow Highway, with Peel Hunt looking for £27.5m (earnings 9.3p) at the top, and Stephen Payne of Corporate Synergy probably at the lower end, projecting £23m (earnings 7.6p)."

The opinion, which I share, is that HWY could approach 80p over the next 6 months.
