RNS Number:0111Z Home Entertainment Corporation PLC 28 February 2006 Home Entertainment - Board change and senior management appointments Tuesday 28 February 2006 -- Home Entertainment Corporation plc announces that Steve Barker has left the company. Anthony Skitt has taken over Mr Barker's responsibilities for group operations and Choices Direct. The senior management team has been strengthened by the appointments of Doug Morton as Director of Retail and Joe McNicholas as Director of Products. Doug, aged 54, joins HEC from Virgin Megastores where he was responsible for retail operations, logistics and trading. At HEC he assumes responsibility for the management of the retail division, ChoicesUK Stores. Joe, aged 40, also joins from Virgin Megastores where he was most recently responsible for games category management and has extensive knowledge of music, DVD and games retailing. Joe will head the consolidation of purchasing across all HEC divisions. The company expects to complete the latest phase of restructuring and re-organisation, to generate annualised cost savings of approximately #2 million, by June 2006.
