And the demand will be met by the 2 new boats arrival next year....hope so!...

More chunky trades today....I am just wandering if the insiders are selling to new investors coming aboard to increase liquidity...

New China Govt expected to announce stimulus projects, so miners are rallying as a result. This could see shipping demand increase for china, india, brazil etc, africa is also growing at a fast pace thanks to natural resource discoveries so their infrastructure can only expand.

The 2 new boats to be delivered early next year cost HCL $34.2M each. Anyone have any idea how much they would cost if they were ordered today? Their capacity is approx 82,000 dwt each.

Because the owners have 70 % + ....... and however much your logic is correct this wont go up because of a takeover without the owners permission ....

Why would another shipping company put an order for a new boat now when they can just buy whole of HCL which comes with plenty of boats!...

In addition, there are two Kamsarmax vessels on order at Zhejiang Ouhua Shipbuilding Co. Ltd., in China with contractual delivery dates January and March 2013. The two ships have an aggregate carrying capacity of about 164,000 dwt.

With freight rates as low as they are hopefully these boats will be delayed!

Market cap at just over 7 million, cash at over 30 million and a net asset value of 120p, thats a massive discount to NAV (-80%) and considering they were paying a 7p divi just over a year ago (40% yeild equivelent) looks undervalued. Worth accumulating.

Good to see the baltic dry above the 1000 mark again and shipping rates improving.

According to the last accounts a new vessel, which will have greater load capacity, is due next month.

2 buys today and the price doesn't move....now if those 2 were Sells insted of Buys then I bet the price would have gone down.....does this suggest MM's have an overhang to clear?......at times these casinos just don't make sense...

up 50% in 2 months isn't a bad effort.

Only in the same way as buying a share for 100p, seeing it drop to 10p and then celebrating a recovery to 15p.
