by the way : Historically : almost all the highs in the 16 years of records at my disposal have been made from here on for Hays

4 in January
3 in November
2 in February
1 in April

Here's hoping that I bought at the right time !

Have opened a thread for the EPIC DXS : have included the share price graph so you can at least see it on ADVFN : anything else you want in the header I can probably work out later

DXS is now 286 having opened at 265. Adjusting for the new shares, Hays is up on the day

It's DXS, but not working yet on ADVFN.Just checked it on the LSE website and current price of 274.50.

well done Jaafar! the timing of the demerger must have been the markets best kept secret. HAYS now falls out of FTSE100.

On the downside, Hays shares fell 11-3/4 pence to 117 after the demerger of its DX unit. Shareholders in the UK group are to receive one DX for every 20 Hays shares.

I have been looking high and low for the reason of fall...The only thing that i have found is that a 4m plus sell went through on Friday.
This is an excellent buying op especially with the sale of dx...

Haven't a clue! Have searched every possible website, - nothing.Have they announced full details of the DX demerger which is not well received perhaps? What is strange is that it is not listed in main gainers/losers list this a.m.

In a note to clients, DKW said its top picks in the large cap plays remain Hays and Rexam. Dresdner, however, lowered the sector rating to 'neutral' from 'overweight'. In a note to clients, the German broker stuck to its 'buy' stance on Rexam and Hays, and lifted its target price on the latter to 150 pence from 144 pence.

'Underperform' from 'outperform' with 115 pence target - CAI Cheuvreux.

I haven't seen their reasons for this downgrade.

Wouldn't you buy a £1.30 share at 69.25p!!

That has nothing to do with poresent trading position. If he sells straight on he'd clear 50/60p a share so no big gamble really.

LONDON (AFX)- Hays PLC said its chief executive Denis Waxman has exercised
his options in the company by purchasing 16,880 shares at 69.25 pence a share.

Waxman now holds 2.98 mln shares in the company, or 0.17 pct of the issued
equity.
