30/1/2003 11:48 | I presume you don't mean today, R390, but are envisaging a 56% recovery over the course of the next few months which, I agree, is entirely feasible even allowing for a possible ejection from FTSE100 in early March ? Incidentally, HAS touched 91.5p on 10/10/2002 and 80p on 31/10/2002 ! | pkvidean
30/1/2003 08:10 | Price will pick up to 110 | r390
29/1/2003 23:31 | Interested parties said on Wednesday they expected the sale process to begin within the next week to 10 days. I.e., within 0.92 - 1.10 range, as 1.10 is October low. | r390
29/1/2003 23:27 | Give us a % number then R390. See who is closest for a bit of fun. Needless to say I hope you win ! | pkvidean
29/1/2003 23:24 | pkvidean I think the city will like it too. Hays direction will be North for more than 10% tomorrow. | r390
29/1/2003 23:20 | Well done goodfella ! I trust you are keeping an open mind about whether or not US is actually currently in a Bull market ? | pkvidean
29/1/2003 23:18 | Yes, but all that means is they are selling off a hefty chunk of their revenue and earnings and without corresponding acquisitions in the remaining rump they will lose their FTSE place for sure. Having said that, I agree that (looking longer term) the city will like it and we should get about 10% upside tomorrow. I'll be Adding first thing if share price not immediately prohibitive. | pkvidean
29/1/2003 23:12 | pkvidean Hit my long held 7Op target today | goodfella
29/1/2003 23:10 | pkvidean it is End October low: 110 Schroder Salomon Smith Barney, Hays' advisers, is understood to have contacted potential bidders for the business, which could be valued at between £250m and £400m. | r390
29/1/2003 23:08 | Thanks R390 but where do you get 110p from ? | pkvidean
29/1/2003 23:03 | pkvidean Hays will targetting 110 tomorrow. See below | r390
29/1/2003 23:01 | Just for the record, I got back into HAS Long this week @ an average of 77.5p. Concerned that it will get the FTSE chop in early March and yet another new low today (70.5p). However, expecting about a 5 day FTSE rally starting tomorrow from today's 3391 base and am now targetting 87.5p for HAS at the top of said. | pkvidean

28/1/2003 16:01 | I am no chartist but had a look at the chart and the last low was 79 and then jumped to 98.75 (25 % plus) and fallen to 73p now. it looks a good buy but then like most shares it keeps falling. i am not sure what to buy and at what price ..in a VERY uncertian market | psps
28/1/2003 15:33 | PSPS do you have any plans to buy back in? I too sold out last time in the high 90's locking in a 25%+ gain in two weeks. I bought in yesterday hoping for a similar if not better gain based on attractive fundamentals and potential break up news in march. Do we have any chartists on the board who may have an opinion as to the current level? | fast eddie felson
28/1/2003 13:10 | sr2day, well said..............an i am really if i did. by the way i am not buying TESCO yet . i sold my HAS a while ago | psps
28/1/2003 11:54 | psps,i have had as you called it some depressing thoughts about a few shares in the past and my conviction has saved me from losing money.a bit like you who believed tesco was going down to 170p and it has.not many agreed with you at the time. | sr2day
28/1/2003 11:33 | HAS has been increasingly volatile of late - one can only speculate as to why.Probably increased nervousness ahead of March announcement - but it does fluctuate both ways!! There's no reasoning in this market, I am completely philosophical about current stock prices because so many bear no resemblance to fair value IMO. having said that how does one calculate fair value currently?? | lyntwyn
28/1/2003 11:32 | sr2day, what a depressing thought you have and yes Morgan Stanley have upgraded the stock ONLY BECAUSE they now have 12% stake in HAS.........and the price goes up and they sell | psps
28/1/2003 11:14 | why did it go down to 71p this morning when everything else was going up.something does not seem right. i feel this share has the potential to go down to 50p. | sr2day |
