17/7/2002 13:27 | what's going on with this 1 today? someone know something? | royalexile
20/5/2002 09:25 | Yeah agreed, this is a DOG... nice to see higher lows recently though, and well, higher highs would be just fantastic! You might even be able to flog your remaining 75k at a higher price cg! | tom braider
17/5/2002 10:52 | something stirring? yea. a witches brew!!! something wrong here? i tried to sell 100k the other week @-125 and only managed 25k at that price. rather agree with jeffian. | cg1953
16/5/2002 23:47 | Unless you are: a) Welsh b) a member of the 'Taffia' c) live within 5 miles of Cardiff or d) have a surname ending in 'Dovey' I would tend to steer clear of these! IMHO, as they say. Regards, Ian | jeffian
16/5/2002 21:45 | So; Len Dovey sold a couple of million shares to someone - I wonder who? New CEO, perchance, who is undertaking a strategic review of the whole collection of businesses ( and who will probably recommend slimming down to the core operation by selling off peripheral and non performing units, to reduce the debt burden) or it could be an institution, or the MMs. Thing is, he sold em at 14.5p - well up on the quote for that time! Chart is building a nice stepped pattern. Pile in before it gets too far away. | philjeans
16/5/2002 10:09 | Yikes - looked all over a short yesterday. Something is definitely afoot here. | rbtrage
16/5/2002 08:14 | The recent announcement on director dealing tells me the thread title is appropriate! | addict
18/3/2002 13:58 | I have been holding these for a few months and am currently at a break even position. I reviewed the stock a few weeks back, and was concerned about the level of debt and strong possibility of poor results. I expect a price fall at next results to be honest perhaps back to 9p or so. I will hold for the long term anyway, as I don't have many and, as you say, the company could recover a long way. But I'm not expecting much short term. | voodooray
14/3/2002 18:27 | Unusually high number of bargains and amount of stock changing hands here in recent days - hence price leaping about all over the shop. Bought a small manufacturer of sports equipment for gyms etc in last week but that, in itself, would not be enough to trigger this amount of interest.Figures due soon and my bet is that whilst they will be poor (chucking everything in except the kitchen sink to get all the bad news out of the way) there will be another deal or two announced to turn this little conglomerate around. Probably selling one or two non core operations to reduce the high debt they carry and focus on one or two lines only. That would be well received - co has gone downhill fast in recent years but, fundamentally, still has great earning power and could recover a long way from here. Anyone else watching ( or buying?) | philjeans
24/7/2001 08:35 | Heard rumours of a buy back but looks as though its been happening for months....any ideas whats going on? | minger
07/7/2000 19:17 | Moneybags The sell price was 16p for most of the day. Late pm the mid-price dropped a quarter and the sell price fell to 15.5. I think that the small sale resulted in the quarter of a point drift. A difficult one to call. The MM's can (& do) delay trades on small stocks. I am reasonable sanguine about the longer term prospects of this company. After all, the directors paid a half a million pounds worth of confidence in the company when they bought in March. Time will tell..... | acol
07/7/2000 16:08 | Acol.....I suspect some more company buying (If) the company are buying back (still no announcement but this may not show up till monday). Do you know if the five days before they buy includes non market days or not. If not then the buying might not start again until wednesday....? What are your thoughts. Later Edit....Acol......Di A sign that the market maker has a buyer lined up for next week at £0.17 or better........! Regards , Moneybags | moneybags
05/7/2000 16:33 | You are not entirely alone on this share. I too noted the rise & posted on 'the other side' not expecting any interest on this board. Presumably the company timed their purchases to coincide with the two largish sells which took place this morning. 3 months ago two directors bought over £500K of shares. | acol
05/7/2000 14:42 | Up 15% today on all those sells and the sell price just jumped 1p from 15p to 16p. They are not wanting any buying in today. | moneybags
05/7/2000 14:06 | This is a share bouncing off the bottom this morning, as the company looks like it is starting its buyback of up to 10 Million shares. If you check one of the last news items it will show that they can buy at 5% above the average share price for the last five days prior to the buyback. I think they will buy back as much as they can today (see early sell trade for today) and will then let the price settle for 5 or more days , then buy again at a higher level as the shares get soaked up. Good for a buy in , What does everyone think , I'm in. Regards , Moneybags | moneybags |
