30/3/2015 15:45 | picked up 200,000 as well as 145,000 allocated already through existing holding so plenty shares were available at 7.25p if you wanted them. HWG will start to release some good news soon on sites then we can see share price appreciate, then I expect Peel to play their hand. | finkie
26/3/2015 22:26 | I have had these since UK Coal; was allocated 3428 and also applied for 6572 which received in full. So we all had the option. Hopefully a slightly better future with the pension fund realising it is in their interest for the company to make money. | coachsailor
26/3/2015 10:26 | Jonwig If you look at the Harworth website you will see they have a dedicated branch dealing with contaminated land. The future going forward is the tie up between Harworth and Peel Holdings they have a joint venture that has the potential to realise a property valuation of £4 billion. With Peel owning 25% and the pension fund owning 25% I think you'll find Peels approach will be well before the value is realised!! Not to mention the income from ongoing rentals. DYOR IMHO | strutt12
26/3/2015 09:08 | After a quick look at the prospectus, I reckon this has NAV of about 11p/sh, is modestly geared and profitable. Directors (new ones) look experienced. Chief risk is possible attrition from contaminated land. Trouble is, this doesn't go away if money is thrown at it. If it weren't for this, I'd be a buyer. | jonwig
25/3/2015 19:37 | Strut - I mean that they did a placing as part of the refinancing, it wasn't a rights issue so normal shareholders couldn't buy at 7.25p yet the directors have been able to invest, it's poor corporate governance at its worst | clemenm7
25/3/2015 18:02 | Does anyone know the the dividend policy of HWG? | jezwatson
25/3/2015 12:42 | Jonwig, Thank you, all done. I've been with the company from UKC to CRES and now HWG so will try and help with any information you need. | strutt12
25/3/2015 12:38 | strutt - thanks for that. I never followed UKC so I'm a bit ignorant, but will come back with thoughts and queries in a day or so. HINT: alter h t t p to Http or hTTp or similar and it works. | jonwig
25/3/2015 11:35 | Jonwig, Not sure how to get rid of the http ? managed to get a link to the old thread just for information | strutt12
25/3/2015 09:55 | So this is the old UK Coal, turned into a brownfield property developer. I didn't know that. And: "the directors can fill their boots. It stinks" - I haven't reached that bit yet! The website is here: There's a prospectus as well. Strutt12 - any chance you could put the link into your header, please? | jonwig
25/3/2015 08:47 | A new name, the same company run by the directors for the directors. A closed placing to fundraise at 7.25p, yet the directors can fill their boots. It stinks | clemenm7
25/3/2015 08:38 | Welcome to our new thread | strutt12 |
