07/5/2024 16:54 | Agree 100% Leadixon. And you didn’t even mention that as a national market leader this has to be on a foreign acquirer’s shortlist | eigthwonder
07/5/2024 16:38 | Agree - i have a fairly significantly position here and i have no plan to sell even if it went near £12/£13. Happy with the Dividend which will grow at a decent % over the coming years, very good company, new management, strong long-term trajectory and a great offering. I have my ISA and Active savings with HL and even though i have accounts with II and AJ Bell, i have no desire to move even with the slightly higher prices.....the offering is best on the market overall to me. We just need a little more innovation from them and i'll be very happy. | leadixon
07/5/2024 12:13 | Looks like some shorters are starting to be shaken out, as this has risen impressively over the past few weeks. But I'm sure the shorters will be back for another bite of the cherry before too long. 900p is easily attainable this year, provided the FTSE remains buoyant....but for how long? Any weakness in the FTSE and HL will drop like a stone again. | bend1pa
03/5/2024 13:50 | i have researched shorts 5.33%, free float is actually about 67%, if you include LT who are not sellers. £200m needs to be bought back over 1 months trading. I suppose like a buy back as stock has to be returned. If any corrections let me know, as not an expert how it works. | giltedge1
02/5/2024 11:31 | Pretty sure they'd already dropped exit fees for transfers out a few years ago? | ochs
02/5/2024 11:10 | Do you know does this include the exit charge? Or is it just the dealing charge they will refund? | stuarti10
02/5/2024 09:56 | @CC2014 - agree, if they just dropped it to £5-95 across the board I'm sure revenue would be similar or close to where it is now, as many clients would trade more often (myself included), plus it would be easier to attract new dealing clients. | ochs
02/5/2024 07:29 | Impressive YOY AUA increase almost 10% to 31/03, much higher than I was expecting. Looks a good growing business with tail winds of aging population & employees forced to provide for their own pensions. A good debt free balance sheet & with IT spend reduced soon specials back hopefully. The 5% shorts, will be interesting to see how this pans out as free float about 50% when deduct founders & Lindsell Train holdings. Can,t be much spare stock to buy. | giltedge1
01/5/2024 21:52 | First £100 of trades between now and 21st June refunded. Per client not per account. New and existing clients www.hl.co.uk (They seem desperate to hold on to the price per trade. I don't know why they don't just cut the price) | cc2014
01/5/2024 16:02 | Oh what have they proposed? Is this an email you've received? | ochs
01/5/2024 14:25 | What would you do with £100 of free trades? HL have finally responded to other brokers fee structure. That will save me around £250 across my 3 client accounts. | cc2014
30/4/2024 08:27 | Depends on your start point - I am nicely in profit | eigthwonder
30/4/2024 08:26 | Haulmepantsdown | thomstar
30/4/2024 08:05 | Still 44% down lol | thomstar
30/4/2024 07:53 | They are still cheap. | lomax99
30/4/2024 07:44 | Fair challenge. Very positive statement though. Hopefully we can get a few closes above that mid Feb spike | adamb1978
30/4/2024 07:27 | I'm long these and not upset but.....that statement is all about activity and nothing about costs or profitability - which have been the problems recently | eigthwonder
30/4/2024 07:06 | Someone's shorts are messy this morning. | dickbush
29/4/2024 16:05 | Well, last time I looked shorters were down to circa 5% from 6%. 5% of 473m shares is 23m. Gonna be hard to close that if they have to. | yf23_1
29/4/2024 15:48 | One short certainly closed at 16.35. | dickbush
29/4/2024 15:40 | Shorters getting owned | growthpotential
29/4/2024 15:39 | Very strong rise into the close - 4% up today, plus decent rises at the end of last week. I wonder what the market is expecting tomorrow? - Personally I wasn't expecting much, and am worried growth in net new business will be slower than AJB's recent figures - will be very interesting to see. Perhaps there'll be an announcement about dealing fees? | ochs
29/4/2024 11:47 | Wonder if the recent uptick into the current update tomorrow are shorts closing in case of a good set of results.Reached 840 last time before collapsing back to low 700s...Thought things might be better for HL now Woodford has effectively been resolved and they got away with minimal/no sanctions. | stoopid |
