27/10/2009 15:14 | harold sir, with one putting all that in to respect, i've put a few eggs this basket case, hope i pinched the bottom of Hardy...:@) | jab118
27/10/2009 13:14 | when one invests in oil companies one expects dry wells more often than productive ones, the trick is to spread your cash over a few companies. putting all your eggs in one basket is unwise. these are all a gamble, one should only gamble if you are prepared to lose. all the charts in the world cant predict a dry well. | haroldthegreat
27/10/2009 12:54 | mallorca, i suspect that cut do with a bit of snipping off by you, ofall the credits at the bottom, and the space in the middle etc....which leaves u with this bit "One dry well does not mean there is no hydrocarbon in the block," Goldman Sachs said in a note and pointed that Reliance Industries' deepwater exploration success rate has so far been 67 percent. "RIL will continue drilling in D-9 and given the D-9 resource estimates by an independent agency, we believe there is decent probability of RIL striking reserves in the future," | abcd1234
27/10/2009 12:54 | mallorca 9, That article is far more pertinent to RIL than HDY, given the size of the respective companies, and the reliaince the HDY share price had on the outcome of the drill, IMO. In the short term this is clearly going to struggle, until a new game plan is presented, and then once a drill is imminent, interest will return and the excitement will begin again, IMO. Long termers prepared to wait will be fine if the next drill is sucessful, those with a shorter view have probably already sold. In the meantime the market will do what it does best, and most stocks are red today anyway, due to DOW last night. GLTA | andy
27/10/2009 12:48 | IN 2008 T´HIS WENT FROM 850P TO 100P: SO FROM 550P TO 100P IS VERY POSSIBLE: | binladin

27/10/2009 12:04 | mallorca take a chill pill man you shorting the wrong stocks n going long where u ought to go short gkp will hit 500p | maak128
27/10/2009 12:04 | smarm, Interesting, makes his decision to invest here surprising then, IMO, because it was always going to go with the news, so fundementals don't play much of a part in a speculative oiler, IMO I would love to see his rationale for his investment here! Personally I think the best way is to spread some cash into a few speculative oilers and hope that the drill bit brings good results. | andy
27/10/2009 11:56 | Whose losing their life savings then? | loverat
27/10/2009 11:53 | glad to see directors sitting back smokin their cigars whilst small pis lose their life savings............. a solid rns looking forward is needed before any bounce can be justified instead the co. are happy to see millions of £s wiped off their business | maak128
27/10/2009 11:50 | Ha, ha. And 64p as a % of 515p is? | nicksig
27/10/2009 11:47 | Looks like they are walking this one down in a nice orderly fashion. But on another point regarding the Indians etc. I find it far more preferable dealing with them than the Chinese. The company may have dry wells and limited cash but just look at that friendly, smiley bloke in the header. 100% trustworthy IMO Worth a punt on that alone in my opinion. Just at a lower level. | loverat
27/10/2009 11:44 | *lol* that's an interesting piece of calculus, gdasinv2! | gunther1
27/10/2009 11:34 | Why is this valued at 180 million? | 25cent |
