eog have been drilling a 1000 metres deep well, since the 9th nov ,it still isnt completed 21 days x 80 =1680 metres ,so something doesnt add up

I googled a site which said typical drilling speeds are 80 to 200 metres per day.

If the exploratory drill currently underway has a target depth of 4,700 metres, then we are looking at 24 to 58 days.

If the drilling began on 2nd November, and suppose drilling can take place 6 days out of 7, then the earlier results would be reported on in early December, and the later around mid-January.

Thus the winter of our discontent may be made glorious summer anytime from say the end of November to the end of January.

whens current drill results due from this one? , 6 exploration wells in 2010 is decent newsflow ...every month something to anticipate

It is all in the hands of the gods. A juicy test drill result and we will be back over 500p faster than the disappearance of a roustabout's first pint after a spell offshore.

A dusty drill, well 190p would seem a bit on the high side.
