18/2/2022 17:29 | 86% still valued end September. MSCI world is a smidgin below end Sep as of 5pm GMT today. Does anyone know if the MSCI world ".WORLD:MSCI" is total return or share prices only? Despite this and greater falls in tech, I would wager (OK I essentially HAVE wagered), that the real-time NAV is closer to £35. Still, I think you are spoilt for choice with discounted PE trusts at present (I just piled back into OCI). | apple53
18/2/2022 12:55 | Finally here tday, think it was scheduled for yesterday. | andyadvfn1
17/2/2022 18:01 | is n't there supposed to be an nav update here | ali47fish
08/2/2022 19:18 | I believe that's just share price, you have to factor in APAX's 5% yield on NAV. Even so its had a poor year for some reason by comparison I agree. Not helped by two big shareholders selling out early on and late in 2020 I think. Coughed and spluttered ever since | makinbuks
08/2/2022 13:32 | CHC - sorry, only just seen your post. I don't really follow APAX - a serious under-performer versus peers. #I do get some exposure through Altamir (Paris) - epic = EU:LTA. LTA on a c25% discount v. APAX on 19%. free stock charts from uk.advfn.com | skyship
01/2/2022 17:45 | skyship - spot on, PIN bounced today. ICGT has had a smaller bounce and MIGHT be on a larger discount real time. NBPE also a smaller bounce but it also had the largest december NAV drop. And in the listed space PSH and NASCIT might be interesting. In terms of trading in and out, other than using spread bet platforms, there are some that you pay stamp on and some you don't, right? HVPE, for example, is stamp free. CHC - No view on APAX from me.... We still await the invasion, however, and that could create another round of buying opportunities. . | apple53
01/2/2022 09:37 | What's your thoughts on APAX, I have added them to my pie basket, and added. | chc15
31/1/2022 13:39 | Well, they've all had a useful bounce. Sold my BPET into the strength as now look fully valued again versus peers. Best value now has to be PIN which at 314p still trades on a 24.4% discount. | skyship
31/1/2022 08:38 | that's quite a bounce - it's gone from among the largest discounts to among the smallest. Can't see any obvious reason ("more buyers than sellers"). And sterling is actually reversing its recent weakness. | apple53
25/1/2022 09:38 | Been watching this and NBPE for a while, so good to get in when down, I already have big holdings in 3i and PEY. BPET looks solid like u say . Will keep adding on any dips. | chc15
25/1/2022 08:48 | CHC - well timed buying yesterday; a good little bounce today. Most of the main players now trading on discounts in the range of 23%-26%; though not HGT obviously - a rather over-priced outlier IMO. Best value on my spreadsheet now likely to be BPET as they are on a 24% discount to the Sept'21 valuation of 588p. Unfortunately we won't hear the end Dec'21 NAV until the Finals at the end of March! Still, I expect minimally a 5% rise to 617p; and on that figure the discount rises to 27.7%. | skyship
24/1/2022 14:39 | I have started to buy today, along with NBPE, PIN, HGT. Small amounts via a basket, will add on any further drops. | chc15
24/1/2022 13:29 | Looks so tempting back at 2495p on a 27.8% discount. BUT......could retrace to any of those purple FIB support lines; and with everything that's happening in and around Ukraine, will let it be. I'm at 33% CASH; and wondering whether to go higher! free stock charts from uk.advfn.com | skyship
04/1/2022 14:11 | Not a normal half or one percent day. Wow | mello_blewiskt88
04/1/2022 13:33 | .....up another 2.4% .... nice start to the year ...... | mirfield
30/12/2021 13:19 | The discount surely can’t last with this out performance? Cheers to everyone at HarbourVest, keep up the great work. | woodyjmw
29/12/2021 18:47 | It was tipped in The Times yesterday. GLA 😎 Edit - It was on Sunday actually..... "For an investor, finding ways to join in the private equity bonanza is not straightforward. One way to do so is the £2.1 billion HabourVest Global Private Equity fund, which owns positions in the Chinese fast-fashion business Shein and American crypto exchange Coinbase. The shares rocketed more than 40 per cent during the year and while the discount to net asset value has narrowed to 15 per cent, the average during the year was 24 per cent. It may yet have scope to grow." Onwards and upwards. | hawaly
29/12/2021 17:52 | I expect this to be heavily tipped in the press over New Year | makinbuks
29/12/2021 17:12 | Tipped somewhere? ....up 2% today. New all time high. | deadly
07/12/2021 11:15 | 3000p not that far away now. | its the oxman
08/11/2021 10:48 | Strong demand behind the recent share price rise | makinbuks
03/11/2021 09:02 | I think its a combination of factors. Many PE houses are seeing growth in EBITA for their investee companies of 25% pa. The sector still has a lot of dry powder so high exit prices are being achieved. There is a lag in reporting NAV's and performance, so there is pent up good news coming. There is a lot of press comment on PE houses which will drive demand and narrow discounts. All positive for HVPE | makinbuks
03/11/2021 08:45 | I wonder if we are seeing a big rerating in discounts, and the PE funds that have been on 20-25% discounts to NAV are moving to 10-15% | donald pond
02/11/2021 08:18 | 2600p certainly looks likely given upward moves acrosd the sector like icgt. | its the oxman |
