22/4/2013 17:22 | Jamielein.......any firmer on EPS for 2013? Sounds like there could be consolidation, growth benefits? | trustman
28/11/2012 10:48 | Basic EPS forecast was around 14p and they reported 5p, so I'm surprised they haven't fallen further. I'm really not sure what to think anymore. They think they'll exceed expectations but is this in adjusted terms or basic terms? As 2013 estimates were for over 20p EPS basic, so that's a big jump from 5p. At the moment they're on a PE of 40 - seems a little high until they prove themselves. | jamielein
28/11/2012 08:55 | My 30 minutes thinking time cost me but I decided to sell also. | jamielein
28/11/2012 08:48 | Thanks peeps. I'll openly admit that I'm fairly green when it comes to reading accounts but it is something I have taken upon myself to learn more about. I've been a technical trader for years now (and pretty successful at it too) but am looking at combining TA with FA for my SIPP account. Anyway I'm only in small here and am happy to hold for the long term based on the bullishness of the recent statements and projected outlook. Technically there's not a lot to look go on but I guess a gap fill and a back test of the broken trend line at approximately 150p wouldn't be out of the question. | smudgeroo
28/11/2012 08:44 | To arrive at an adjusted figure by discounting tax is just not right, plus I don't like to see depreciation and amortisation discounted, even though I know many companies do this. The statement and outlook sound great, but the accounts let them down imo. I did sell my holdings here. ic2... | interceptor2
28/11/2012 08:28 | Profit/(loss) for the year/period after taxation 311 _______ Earnings used in basic EPS for the year/period 311 Taxation 211 Loss on period of ownership of subsidiary Star-Gate 87 Foreign exchange loss on operations 239 Depreciation and amortisation 127 Exceptional items 100 _______ Earnings used in adjusted EPS for the year/period 1,075 | jamielein
28/11/2012 08:23 | Tried to copy something from the accounts but it didn't format too well. I'll try again in a minute but I think they're fully valued for now. | jamielein
28/11/2012 08:21 | Agree Basic EPS only 4.9p, take a close look at the accounts to see how they came to adjusted EPS 16.9p imo. ic2... | interceptor2
28/11/2012 08:19 | The 16.p figure does look impressive BUT the fully dilluted eps is onyl 4.9p which isnt so good. | cfro
28/11/2012 08:18 | Basic EPS only 4.9p though | jamielein
28/11/2012 08:09 | cfro, ic2. What do you make of the 16.9p EPS figure? Thanks | smudgeroo
28/11/2012 07:54 | Now I'm not an accounts expert by any means but that's a bullish report if I've ever read one. Got to love the confidence in Dryden's following comments: "As recently announced, we have enjoyed a very strong start to the new financial year with earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation for the three months ended 30 September 2012 up 331 per cent to GBP461,000 (Q1 2011: GBP107,000). This increase has been driven, in part, by improvements in our profit margins as a result of the significant increase in long-term contracted management and charter revenue that we have achieved. "I continue to see a consistent level of growth in this business and anticipate that the results for the year ended 30 June 2013 will be materially above market expectations." | smudgeroo
27/11/2012 16:25 | Looking forward to tomorrow. | cfro
27/11/2012 16:09 | Tomorrows report should make for interesting reading. Slight pull back in recent days...ready for another run up perhaps? | smudgeroo
21/11/2012 16:00 | Still going up and some investors might be thinking when to take profits which is tricky to judge at the best of times but no selling for me yet as i believe these could have much more to go. It will be extremely interesting to see by how much they have beaten the broker forecasts of 14p eps. I reckon they might do nearer 20p for June just ended so that would make a historic multiple of only 11. If we then say....and keeping it conservative.....25p for June 2013 the forward pe is less than 9. | cfro
21/11/2012 12:09 | Yes good timing dimotane, please give me advance notice for your next planned purchase :o) It doesn't take much buying to push these higher. ic2... | interceptor2
21/11/2012 12:05 | An unusually well timed buy for me today.Radar must be working well for once. | dimotane
21/11/2012 09:17 | I too rarely visit anything to do with aviation.Having said that i've added another 1000 shares this morning | dimotane
21/11/2012 08:55 | When a trading update says materially ahead I have in most cases seen estimates exceeded by over 20%. It looks like an exciting time to hold HGR8, after making it's first profit with EPS of 5.1p against a LPS of 11.5p last interims, I feel now is a very exciting stage in their growth. I'm not normally that keen on the aviation sector, but I think HGR8 have found themselves a great little niche business. The sort of company that Jim Slater would buy imo. ic2... | interceptor2
20/11/2012 22:45 | Jim Slater's famous saying nicked from star wars is 'may the force be with you' which certainly applies here. But even after the massive rise of the last couple of days these are likely still dirt cheap. I think we can now say after the T/S that somewhere around 20p eps is probable for this year. So if we then say 25p for next which is still on the conservative side, the forward pe is still only 9. | cfro
20/11/2012 15:58 | Quite a move today; momentum still strong :-) | saucepan
19/11/2012 19:04 | "We are going vertical Goose" or "You pluck em and i'll fry em Mav" Well it was something like that, one of my favourite films. Good amount of interest today, which isn't surprising after last weeks trading update. ic2... | interceptor2
19/11/2012 15:49 | The jets are certainly up the share price at present :-) | saucepan |
