07/12/2010 21:31 | Looking at the Q and A above it looks like TW would like to give us more information on investments but the board has yet to decide on its policy. Hopefully they will make their minds up soon and I won't have to sit here talking to myself. Q. Are there plans for information flow other than the three monthly NAV? A. For the board to decide. Q. When is the first NAV valuation? A. I am pushing the board to update the market as soon as possible. Q. How do you feel about the share performance so far? A. Those of us who invested at 0.25p have almost trebled our money. So that is a start. Ultimately if the NAV is racing ahead the shares will trade at a significant premium to NAV. If it is not they will not. My job is to ensure that it does race ahead and I think that the company does have a duty to update the market on progress. "Those of us who invested at 0.25p have almost trebled our money. So that is a start." You got to love statements like that. Mind you it did take TW a whole 2 weeks to do it. | marab
06/12/2010 15:08 | Post from HARRYG on iii. Makes you think. "Including output from the other three mines (1,000 oz /month) the output becomes 2250 oz / month X12 = 27,000 oz /annum Cost of production including all overheads = $ 427 / month which with a gold price of $1427/ oz , Profit / annum = $1000 X 27000 = $27 million / annum. Cap 40.7 million shares X £ 0.4 = £16.2 M X 1.6 = $ 26 M So P/E ratio becomes < 1 !!! Interestingly, at this rate , ignoring added reserves from the as yet unexplored veins, the reserve of 750,000 oz would last 750 /27=28 years Conservatively, the share price should become at least 6 X 40 p = £2.40. I read somewhere that the mill etc has been designed for 5,000 oz /month !!! So, fill yer boots!!" Compare that with the sharecrazy article. "Production upgrades are always a welcome announcement, and with production from Chassoul set to go from 50tpd in September, to 300 tpd by the second quarter of 2011, in addition to a combined 100tpd from Tres Hermanos and El Recio, what was a 16 ounce per day gold producer is soon to become a 130 ounce per day operator. Operating costs are also impressive at $350 per ounce ($427 including overheads), and with Ascot selling at spot prices, margins are pushing $1,000 per ounce. " | marab
06/12/2010 13:02 | Athol aren't exactly over taxing themselves in keeping their website up to date. How much effort does it take to type in a little bit now and again? Count restarted 30.12.12 | marab
06/12/2010 12:59 | Gold price seems comfortable over the $1400 mark at the moment, with most people expecting it to continue its rise next year. I am guessing by the time Ascot hits AIM the gold price will be much higher and there will be a lot more interest in HRE. I wonder how our other investments are doing. It's a good job that so much investment went into Ascot because we can at least keep an eye on that. I am guessing that WINS have a bit of stock to get rid of judging by the narrow spread. I love a good stock overhang, look at VMP that was a goody. 6 inches of snow in the last 3 hours and no sign of it stopping, hope the rest of you are faring better. 06/12/2010 12:19 | bit of volume today, most of the sells are in fact buys.. | kennyruss
06/12/2010 08:14 | "Q. How much of the finance raised has been invested and how much is left? We are as of Friday almost fully invested." Good to know the money is working for us and not sitting in a bank account doing nothing. "When is the first NAV valuation? A. I am pushing the board to update the market as soon as possible." I wonder if there is a bedding in process going on here as TW and the board decide on the future game plan regarding info updates etc. I would have thought that TW would want to get the new NAV public as soon as possible. On the downside it means he gets performance shares quicker, but at least that will only be on 75% of the issued capital, so around 19%. | marab
05/12/2010 21:08 | Fame is fleeting anyway, good looks are forever. "A. We will only issue shares if we can do so at a price which we believe is a premium to the true value ( ie not the current market value) of our portfolio, ie which is not dilutive. So there should be no presumption that there will be any further fundraising. But of course there could be." That is an answer I am happy with and the question I most wanted to hear the answer to. | marab
05/12/2010 21:02 | lol.... sorry I stole your thunder, you will know to put a marker down first next time!! | kennyruss
05/12/2010 21:01 | And I still can't get the first post on a new thread. Thanks for all the help with the thread Kenny and arranging for TW to give us some info. A BCDE | marab
05/12/2010 20:54 | Its quite easy to work out the NAV keya5000, based on the £750k of investments which is spread over 15 stocks + the Ascot shares and warrants.. I reckon 0.65p (fully diluted). There is plenty of stock around, so I gobbled up 4m. I suspect some of the punters in at 0.25p are taking profit - I don't blame em:) With Andrew Bell of RRR helping on the technical side of things I imagine that TW is delighted so sit back and watch his Ascot investment grow quickly. With a move to AIM its funding issues will be gone. It also has a litigation case over the Toyota mine which it expects to win. This will add a lot to NAV... | kennyruss
05/12/2010 20:48 | Looks interesting Kenny/Marab. With the NAV in your calculations so close to the current mcap and Ascot's likely move to AIM that should be very value increasing this may be a good little stock to get into. | keya5000
05/12/2010 20:43 | New thread here | kennyruss

05/12/2010 10:24 | Questions for TW Q. What are the current share holdings for HRE? Q. How many convertibles are outstanding? Q. Is there any intention to update the HRE website, and if so when and how often? Q. Is there an email address for Athol that people could use for comments, questions etc.? Q. What is the extent of the percentage of the equity held by funds managed by TIM ? | marab
04/12/2010 19:10 | Give me a day or two and I will knock something up and see how it looks. | marab
04/12/2010 19:09 | Marab, if you create the content for the thread I can do the html and links e.t.c. - you sound if u want to have a bash at it:) | kennyruss
04/12/2010 19:04 | Thanks for that. I hope once TW has answered some questions people will be better able to assess the investment opportunities here. Now we are down at 0.7p is does seem a good time to think about buying. which reminds me, Q. Can a guess be made as to when Ascot might be listed on AIM? | marab
04/12/2010 19:00 | no you cant delete them... add discussion and then add title, EPIC and then highlight the 4 boxes.. That creates the thread, you can add/delete content as u wish.. | kennyruss
04/12/2010 18:56 | Marab its a doddle to create a new thread... But how, o great one ? And can they be deleted if you muck them up? | marab

04/12/2010 18:48 | Kenny, OK your thread, but how do you stick a thread on ADVFN. Q What are the other investments other than Ascot? I feel happier if I can see how we are doing with individual investments rather than waiting for 3 months. Q. Will these other investments be quoted separately in the 3 monthly NAV figures? Q. How much of the finance raised has been invested and how much is left ? Q. Are there plans for information flow other than the three monthly NAV ? Q. When is the first NAV valuation ? Q. How do you feel about the share performance so far? Q. What are the plans for future investments? Q. What kind of ratio of new finance to current share price can we expect? ie. is the current share issue at 0.6p when the price was circa 0.8p the level we can expect in the future? Q. How much new cash raising and investment can we expect to see in the next 6 months? Q. How much new cash raising and investment can we expect to see in the next 12 months? Q. If the company raises £100,000 is that classed as an addition to NAV, or is NAV worked out on the performance of the investments purchased with that £100,000? Q. What do you feel is likely to be the performance of the fund in percentage terms over the next 12 months ? Q. Will there be a greater percentage invested in non UK exchanges in the future or will this be dependant on where the best opportunities are available ? | marab
03/12/2010 21:45 | HRE now have 4.12% of Ascot Mining, before exercise of additional warrants.. | kennyruss |
