Consumer disposable income crises everybody is thinking twice about what they buy and how much they spend. |
PPE: I wish I was like you Paul, I alas always buy the same packet that worked for me before. |
Generic drugs are much cheaper and have virtually the same ingredients as branded products. Why pay £3.50 for panadol when the same drug can be acquired for 49p. Consumers will look for value and not pay for expensive and environmentally unfriendly glossy packaging when the product inside is the exact same thing selling for a fraction of the price just check the ingredients to validate. |
With so many viruses around this Winter, there is clearly ONE BIG winner - over-the-counter drug companies that sell stuff for sore throats and runny noses. (headaches too). |
Firm again in NY. 328. |
Slowly but surely this is marching up.. |
Lots of colds and flu. Could be good for sales. |
Looking good again today!! |
With the shares back above £3 will we see some selling from Pfizer or GSK soon? |
As I've been saying, it was a bargain a few months ago and still a bargain at current prices. |
That wasn't the attitude taken by GSK when news of the action first broke! |
Haleon - Barclays raises target price to 360p from 298p, overweight. |
Added rather than got in but thanks. I think the first day's close was around 335. It was noted somewhere earlier on the thread. |
PatientCapital, I think that was a day range but didn't close at those levels.Glad that you got in at the 250s levels. |
HLN was never impacted by Zantac so nice rise |
The point is did Zantac cause cancer or not. Given the sheer number of claims there were bound to be some that just jumped on the bandwagon. The point is how many are genuine.
All the drugmakers have denied that Zantac causes cancer.
Zantac, first approved in 1983, became the world's best selling medicine in 1988 and one of the first-ever drugs to top $1 billion in annual sales. Originally marketed by a forerunner of GSK, it was later sold successively to Pfizer, Boehringer Ingelheim and finally Sanofi. |
No it was nearer 3.40/50 post demerger. Happy to have added in the 2.50s during the turmoil. |
All time high? |
