Thanks Mylands. That offers some explanation as to the drop. They have plenty to go yet though and we are still only seeing small volume so I wonder if there might be a few pressure points over the next few weeks.Obviously I'd sooner the thing shot up, they got squeezed, we end up at £10 and then somebody comes in with a bid for £15!

Marshall Wace reduced their short position on Nov 10th down to 1.19%. Obviously taking some profit out of the recent drop in the share price

Appreciated, Active! I stumbled across a very simple metric which has - thus far -hugely benefited my trades - all I can say is that it works very well for me simply coupled with some commonsense and a propensity to go against the grain.

There was the Special Dividend declared in December and payable in January, and that 'special' was itself then further increased!!

If GVC's superb recent performance has continued and with an even more favorable exchange-rate thanks to Mrs May's Brexit Balls-up (and any corporate action very unlikely before Feb at earliest), then I reckon a 'Special' is looking a good possibility. Onwards and upwards!!

EOD close 892p up 2% on day and up 3.5% since yesterday's low. I can live with that.

Nothing currently scheduled on the GVC website - - but there has been a Trading Update in Dec for the past 3yrs so that is something to look forward to. Let's hope the strong trading performance experienced in Q3 has continued throughout Q4.

As long as it's three steps forward and only two back - and not the other way around... I'll keep my cool, as usual, active. Anyway, it's still nice to catch a top - or bottom - even if the joy may be fleeting.

Nice to see that it's starting to more accurately reflect the value of the company. Floating around the £9 mark until the next significant moment feels about right.

As there is a 12-week consultation period, from the announcement on 31st October, that won't conclude until at least the end of January (+ extra time for Xmas hols, presumably)and another announcement sometime thereafter - so no chance before February 2018, imo.

I understand that the provision findings come out next month in December.
