Sharepad has added the FX rates. I don't know where they got them from but they have todays dividend as 9.5308p and the later one as 19.0616p.

I'm an uber bull but, IF there are 13bn barrels down there and a buyer has satisfied themselves of that, then it's an outside possibility. Just my opinion of course. :-) Anything in 3 figures will please me.

Hi Zangdook,

I emailed GKP twice yesterday and got no reply.
I emailed Aaron Clark directly at GKP IR as well as Cellicourt, this morning.
Aaron is on annual leave, back Monday.
Cellicourt replied saying they were on the case - but have yet to report anything more.
I guessed at Weatherdon's email address, no response but also no bounce back.

I stated I cannot think of a positive reason for GKP delaying notifying the Market of the sterling rate. It also puts pressure on spread bet accounts as the expected drop in share price when a company goes ex-div is balanced by the dividend receipt in the spread bet account.

This delay may result in spreabetters being obliged to close their position - bringing about more downward pressure on the share price
Any delay would be beneficial to a shorter, not any holder.

I also hold shares in both certificates and in a nominee account, by the way.

They used to credit dollar divs at the current ex rate.I have a few there, and complained this am ...as I wanted to use it to buy more today......they on it ....but I reckon it's because gkp didn't RNS a formal div payout which I expected Tues/wed, probably get credited tomorrow

Because they have been made an offer they can't refuse...it's what Perella have been up to , and Putin has driven the price higher no doubt.It is raise $1bn now and march on. ? Or take the highest bid.

Pensioner, if there was a sale or merger, the best we could expect is £20 / share!!!
Where you get your figures and why would GKP merge or sell, they don’t need to???

Any idea's what Company may be doing this Bermuda amalgamation? IF so it may not be a price set but so many shares to each GKP share in the new company.

Bermuda sale by amalgamation requires a 50% + shareholder majority at an SGM called to vote on it .....Done deal now.The acquiring co will have agreed her appointment.Super :)))

You might be right, Arcadian, but I find it hard to believe we could be sold without shareholder approval. The BOD could nick the company without the owner's agreement? There must be some consultation/approval, surely?

If I had to settle for P2's £320 then I'd have to buy a yacht in the West Indies. Not that I hold of course as Muttley told me this company is worthless so I sold up ....

If I remember Bermudan company law correctly an amalgamation only requires the support of the BOD. Shareholder approval is not necessary.

Sbb.. Buffet has been buying the O&G Sector for nearly 18 months - 2 years . So have the Hedge Funds. Now you see why , with the so called " Green Agenda " crashing to the ground when faced with reality.

Now we have panicking Politicians importing record amounts of coal,reprimanding the INOC's for NOT investing in future Oil Production ( at the insistance of these same Politicians BTW ) and the UK telling the EU it may not be able to send them any gas this winter.

Make the most of the coming Oil Boom boys and girls this is the last one. If it wasnt so predictable it would be hilarious.

She's highly qualified and experienced in Bermuda audit , and pre + post merger the remaining company will require someone to have oversight of Bermuda compliance.Done it at least once before.
