More cars have thronged the main roads in December amid year-end festivities than seen last month. All but one major Asian country registered a rise in mobility on-month, according to data compiled by Bloomberg using Apple Inc. | beernut
30/12/2021 08:13 | Omicron is the end or the first important step towards the end. Can't you see it? 1917 flu descendant is still circulating today. Is there a 1917 flu pandemic. No.. did it mutate again back to a deadly variant..No. Just one more normal flu. The original is kept in a lab and is still as bad as it was in 1917. This corona will become a cold like the other circulating corona viruses. The evolutionary choices made to enable the greater transmission of Omicron - eg faster replication in bronchi over lung tissue. Mean massive decrease in pathogenicity. No lung damage for most and no death cycle auto immune cytokyne storm . I don't think going backwards again is likely. And the same time the increase as has already almost wiped Delta out in London and soon will do UK wide saving lives increasing herd immunity. Next steps are allowing asymptomatic critical workers to continue to work. With respirator masks. Possibly very soon. And stop counting cases sometime in summer. OR earlier. | officerdigby
30/12/2021 04:49 | Malcy..... Oil price This week is surely the most unrepresentative of them all especially in crude oil, known as the isn’t week as it isn’t Christmas and isn’t New Year volumes are low and often senior traders are at home with the punch bowl. It will get worse tomorrow and particularly on Friday when the week, month, quarter and year ends so there are no points for keeping a high risk book over the holiday. Omicron is breaking records, in the US the last seven days a record 257/- cases were discovered but so far it doesn’t seem to be causing too much grief. | highlander7
30/12/2021 04:47 | Omicron isnt the end its just the beginning. Its like the Flue , new varieties will appear every so often and we will have to keep vaccinating against them. In other words we will have to learn to live with COVID - forever. A simple fact politicians dont yet seem to have grasped. Its far easier apparently to keep on over reacting , destroying the economy, and impose never ending tax increases to pay for this stupidity. Which is why the Conservative Party is doomed. Bloomberg ..... India Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised his nation’s initial response to the coronavirus early in the pandemic. But 2021 was to be decidedly different. Despite ominous signs at the start of the year pointing to a new and more severe version of the virus, months of governmental inertia and a startling lack of resources set the stage for the catastrophic delta-fueled wave that killed an untold number of Indians (some estimates of the nation’s total Covid fatalities are in the millions). While South Africa acted swiftly last month to decode the heavily mutated omicron and publicize its existence, India’s experience may better reflect the reality faced by most developing countries—wher | highlander7
30/12/2021 00:17 | With luck Omicron may prove to be the end of the Pandemic. We should know as soon as a couple of weeks. Then hang on to your hats as markets, commodities and inflation really take off. | eddie47

29/12/2021 14:09 | 120/180 wouldn't be out of kilter on a very long term single outlet contract.Very interesting times ahead , no dividend or buyback announcement, when they clearly could and should.Still no register update despite NEDs being flagged weeks ago, and reference to the rapidly diminishing voting shareholder base lol.Expecting corporate event literally any time..... | releasethekraken
29/12/2021 12:54 | Correct RTK. Typical Project payment T&C are anything from 28 to 90 days after invoice. But dont expect these City based idiots to know anything about that. I doubt any of them have ever done a real days work in their lives never mind have project experience. H7 | highlander7
29/12/2021 12:27 | Offering 90 days credit ( as Genral stated was to be new terms) is hardly an unusual B2B credit facility .....LOL, but the Bashers on LSE trying hard to clatter sentiment with it..I presume we billed Sept supplies 1 or 2nd October so I'd expect payment on a 90 day basis anytime in next week..Why anybody cares when this is a nobrainer takeover TBC ( friendly or hostile the big question) is a mystery .LOL | releasethekraken
29/12/2021 12:17 | The reason given for making payments 2 months instead of the usual 1 month was due to the impact of covid and low oil prices... which could be understood at the time, however, not now when oil price has been high for months and the impact of covid on the Kurdistan region is now minimal.... It is indeed incredibly disrespectful and ridiculous that we are now having to wait 3 months. | goatcam
29/12/2021 12:14 | Still fully committed and optimistic, but this continual delay in payments is beginning to get a tad annoying. | bumkin
